Thanksgiving 2008

We started the day before 6 warming the oven for our green bean and corn casseroles. (click here for more pictures) We had to wake the kids up-as we always do when they have to wake up early. They were ready to get in the van and get to Josh's house-of course they didn't realize that it was far away. The rest of the Dennie fam had spent the night at Les' and were riding on the four wheeler when we arrived. The kids played outside and soon it was time to have lunch. Shelley had made great dressing and the turkey and ham was very good as well. After lunch Dana had projects for the kids. Then we had dessert-I had even made a turkey cake! More playing outside after lunch and then we had our December birthday celebration. Dana, Brad, Shelley and Les all opened up their birthday presents and had plenty of help from the kids. Soon, it was time for us to pack up and come back to LR for supper with the Brocks. Their Thanksgiving home-cooked meal is postponed until Sunday, so we had turkey sandwiches which was perfect for our full stomachs. The kids spent the night at the Brocks and Rob and I drove around scouting out where we would shop early in the morning!
