State 44: Alabama

Day 6 (June 24th) (click here for pictures)-After a quick breakfast, we loaded up and headed home. We followed the Babbs to Jackson. After lunch at Mazzios, we each went different directions and we said bye. Reagan and Carter had a great time playing with each other and I know that Reagan will talk about the beach and Carter for weeks. After a few diaper stops and one bathroom stop, we made it home around 6:30 and unpacked before packing up again for Disney World in 8 days.

Day 5 (June 23rd)-Today Reagan had no fear of the waves. She would have ran right in the water if Robby had not been constantly chasing her. Anderson enjoyed it too and even loved playing in the sand. We collected seashells to take home and even had ice cream at Scoops. Amy fixed up all of the leftover food and we had a huge potluck for supper. The guys and Reagan and Carter took one last walk on the beach before we all called it a night.

Day 4 (June 22nd)-More swimming in the ocean and the swimming pool today and more sunscreen and more baths! We had supper at Bahama's Bobs and hit a tacky souvenier store. After supper, the Babbs put on their picture "uniforms" and we all headed downstairs for some pictures of the families and kids. The wind was blowing and bubbles and juice boxes had to be used to bribes but the pictures turned out fairly well. After the photo shoot, the kids got glow-in-dark wands for obeying all day long. And the parents even had time for a game of cards before bed.

Day 3 (June 21st)-Amy was the cook in the condo and had cinnamon rolls in the oven before we stirred. After putting bathig suits and sunscreen on everyone and carrying all of our stuff to the beach it was nearly noon before we got there. Reagan and Anderson both loved floating in the waves until Reagan got some salt water in her mouth and was ready to go to the swimming pool with Carter. For lunch, we headed to Lamberts to catch some rolls. The kids enjoyed the rolls and even enjoyed tossing some to us. After our late lunch and a trip to Walmart, we headed back to the pool for a little more swimming before calling it night.

Day 2 (June 20th)-We grabbed a bite to eat at the continental breakfast and were back on the road before 8 in the morning. The drive passed by quickly and we had time to tour the battleship in Mobile. We arrived in Gulf Shores around 12 and Reagan enjoyed meeting Carter and telling him to "shake booty" and Anderson and Millie enjoyed sitting in the floor and staring at each other. We took a walk on the beach and Reagan and Anderson both loved getting their feet wet. After the walk, we headed to Doc's for a seafood supper.

Day 1 (June 19th)-The day started with Tara taking Anderson to the doctor-he had croup and a double ear infection. He needed some prescriptions and a shot but was still ready to travel! Tara and the kids picked Robby up from work and we headed to Jackson, MS to spend the night. We stopped once for a diaper change and to go through the drive through and we made it to Jackson around 8 in the evening.
