Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • An early morning-well, probably not that early to most, but early to us!
  • Mom forgetting to have someone pull the countdown chain down-we are at least 2 behind
  • Reading our stories before working on an Easter craft-but it involved paint on hands so Mom’s hands were too busy to take any pictures
  • Reagan asking to do another “craft” and luckily Mom had a bunny and chicken to do.  She did both, Anderson did one and started to other but then told Mom she could finish it and Graham used the glue and put one thing on before he was up and playing elsewhere
  • Hurrying and getting our clothes on so we could go with Nonna shopping and get home before the glass man came by
  • Shopping with Nonna-pants and socks for the boys and shoes and pantyhose for Reagan.  Dad had to reschedule the glass man we had been shopping so much (actually, Mom had waited around all morning and they were going to be late so Dad said if they can’t make it in a 4 hour span then we aren’t waiting around)
  • Reagan eating her lunch in the car while Mom and Reagan went to get their hair cut.  She didn’t finish so she took it in to eat while Ms. Tammy cut Mom’s hair
  • Lollipops for everyone from Ms. Tammy before naptime which was short since it was church night
  • Anderson eating his whole corndog and 2 pieces of cake, Graham eating half of his corndog and all of his cake while Reagan had a few bites of hers but also ate most of Mom’s ham
  • Cubbies-Reagan loves to wave at Mom and Dad in the hallway but Anderson never sees them.  Tonight he went to the playground and saw Mom and Dad.  He whispered at us that they were going to the playground and was so proud!
  • Milk for all before bed and a movie for Reagan and Anderson

Dennie Kids: March 30, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • A school morning but Mom and Dad stayed in bed until the last possible minute-why does everyone sleep late on school mornings?  We made it to school late but were still the first ones there
  • Campbell went to Grannymom and Grandpa’s for the whole day.  Grannymom said that Campbell missed the noise and excitement from her big brothers and sister.
  • Reagan bringing home her homework and Anderson was pretty tickled that he took the Easter eggs to the office.  Graham was happy to see Mom until she tried to put him in his car seat
  • Picking Campbell up from Grannymom’s house-she was happy to see everyone.  We even had a chance to play for a little bit
  • Donuts for snack and reading a few books.  We even attempted to play a game-Campbell got hungry, Graham doesn’t understand sharing and Anderson was finished pretty quick.  Mom and Reagan had a good time though!
  • Everyone playing quietly while Mom unpacked all of the bags from today.  She unpacked in the dark because Graham demanded to stand in a chair and turn the light off.  He was quiet so Mom didn’t say anything
  • Counting a few things in the house before waiting for Dad to come home.  While waiting, Anderson saw a booboo on Graham’s elbow.  He exclaimed “Mom, we can see Graham’s bones”  Anderson was quite concerned!
  • Grannymom and Grandpa coming over for supper.  Dad made his last batch of chili before summer.  Even getting to go outside and play for a few minutes before bath
  • Taking a bubble bath.  Reagan and Anderson loved it but Graham climbed out of the tub 5 times and wouldn’t put his arms down in the water
  • A few movies and then bedtime-and everyone was fairly tired tonight!

Dennie Kids: March 29, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • A restful night-Campbell waking up at 3 and then at 7, followed by Graham.  Graham put his face right in front of Moms (she was still dozing in the bed) and said “hi”
  • Reading our Bible story, new books from Grannymom and some of our library books while eating donuts for breakfast.  Anderson devoured 2 donuts before Reagan finished 1/2 of hers
  • Counting eggs and putting candy in them for school tomorrow-Mom saw at the last second that 1/2 of the bag she bought had peanut butter in them so she had to eat them!
  • Grannymom coming over to pick up the big kids-they played, rode bikes, went on a walk, had lunch and hid Easter eggs.  Graham and Anderson were getting sleepy by the time that Mom came
  • Campbell and Mom stayed at home cleaning the house, changing out Graham’s clothes and just hanging out!
  • Everyone coming in and going straight to bed after a long afternoon of playing
  • Reagan and Anderson working in their workbooks when they woke up-Anderson did his 2 pages and then was finished until Graham grabbed his book.  Then Anderson decided that he needed to do quit a few more pages
  • Waiting on Dad to come home with supper and hearing a chainsaw but not being able to see it
  • Dad coming in and telling the boys that the neighbor across the street was having his tree cut-the chainsaw was at the top of the tree and we couldn’t see it from inside the house-they scurried outside to see it.  Graham was a little concerned but Reagan and Anderson could have watched it forever
  • A late supper and then playing until bedtime.  Campbell grinned and smiled all day long at Mom.  She also has started to coo whenever you talk to her.

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • We started the morning with a short movie, Sunday clothes and some Frosted Flakes
  • Reagan asked if she could have more cereal and Mom said no since we were going to have Burger King.  She said she didn’t want a biscuit but wanted Frosted Flakes.  She was so happy to have her own bag of flakes that she waited until we had passed out everyone else’s food before she ate her flakes
  • Anderson was happy to see Ms. Shirley in the parking lot but Graham was not too thrilled about seeing Mr. Andy!
  • Leaving church very late and heading straight to Grannymom’s house for lunch.
  • Eating lunch, passing out desserts, an Easter egg hunt in the front yard and opening prizes for finding the eggs.  And even getting to make Easter picture frames
  • Naps for everyone while Mom ran a few errands and then Campbell and Mom went to church early for a meeting
  • Following church, we decided to start the week off right with some Krispy Kreme donuts!
  • Graham going to bed better tonight with only a few minutes of screaming!

Dennie Kids: March 27, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • Campbell eating at 1:30 a.m. (Mom was still up so that was fine) and 6:30 this morning (Mom wasn’t up yet but sure loved getting back into bed)
  • A movie or two and then hurrying around to get ready to meet Nonna and Pops.  A quick bite to eat from Sonic on the way there.
  • Going to the Clinton Library for the Easter egg hunt.  The first thing we did was ride on the ponies.  Mom was pretty convinced that Graham was going to not want to ride the horses but he LOVED it.  His horse was named Tornado.  Reagan and Anderson enjoying the horses too but Anderson had his eye on the slides!
  • Hunting Easter eggs-everyone could have 5 eggs and they were zillions laying on the ground.  Reagan picked out the pink and purple ones so it took her a little longer.  The boys scooped up the first 5 they saw and were finished in seconds.
  • Sliding and jumping for a few minutes before walking around the petting zoo area.  The highlight was a kangaroo, emu and zebra.  Anderson was not thrilled with these animals and tried to get out of the stroller.
  • As soon as we came home, we went out back to work on the leaves.  Everyone tried to help -- raking, putting leaves in the bags and jumping in them.  Mom and Dad encouraged everyone to swing, slide and look for the buried treasure that Mom had hidden in the yard (two dimes and a penny).
  • Needless to say, after 2.5 hours outside they were all filthy (except for Campbell who had slept inside the entire time).  Everyone had a bath and put on their pajamas before a late lunch
  • Grannymom and Grandpa coming over to see us and all the work we had done in the yard.  Playing with them until naptime and sleeping a few minutes before time to wake up
  • Supper out at Five Guys Burgers & Fries and then back home for a snack and bed!  Mom is making Graham learn to go to bed without fussing (he has gotten into a bad habit lately).  Dad can’t stand to hear him scream so he wore his headphones until he finally went to sleep

Dennie Kids: March 26, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • Graham woke up around the same time Mom and Dad were going to bed (1:30) so he briefly got to lay in their bed…until Campbell started to wake up.  Graham wasn’t happy about going back to his bed so he was taken downstairs and slept like a baby down there
  • Reagan waking up and feeling pretty battered and bruised after the dentist.  She had bit the inside of her cheek pretty good and it looks pretty rough.  Though she sure didn’t want Mom to give her any medicine
  • Everyone playing with cars while Mom had a shower and then heading downstairs for breakfast and a Bible Story (we are trying to read one every day-but most days it just seems that Reagan listens.  Anderson does perk up when anything exciting happens though)
  • More playing downstairs while Campbell ate and then we unsuccessfully attempted to play Yahtzee (Graham didn’t understand that other people needed a turn and Anderson’s attention span is 3 minutes)
  • Trying a trip to the library again since last time was a success.  Not so much this time, Anderson and Graham found Lincoln Logs and started using them as drum sticks.  After that was cleaned up, Graham likes to push the books all the way in on the bookshelves, Anderson pulls zillions out trying to find his book, Reagan only wanted books about her favorite TV show and Campbell became hungry!  We didn’t stay too long (Mom might have even heard applause as we left!)
  • Lunch while watching the movie they picked from the library and then afternoon naps
  • Playing outside while waiting on Dad and then heading to McDonalds for supper
  • Sliding and climbing after supper and then sitting in the car while Mom ran into Target
  • Eating ice cream before bed.  This afternoon Dad said “let’s party” while on the phone to Mom.  Reagan overheard and asked if they were going to the party too.  Mom said it was a family party at McDonalds.  On the way there, she asked if we were having ice cream.  Mom said probably not but then Reagan told Mom that a party had ice cream and we were having a party and we HAD to have ice cream.  So Mom bought some at Target!
  • Graham demanding to sleep downstairs and Reagan and Anderson are too worried about what we are doing tomorrow that they are having a hard time sleeping but Campbell is snoozing away!

Dennie Kids: March 25, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)
  • A very early morning for Reagan and Mom-in the car at 6:30 (more on that later)
  • Anderson waking up and climbing in bed with Dad for a movie or two.  Graham joined them next while Campbell slept for a little while longer.  She had eaten at 5 and slept a little while this morning
  • Reagan and Mom arrived at the dentist before 7.  The took Reagan's blood pressure and weighed her.  Next the dentist gave her the meds and then we waited and read magazines for the next hour.  Soon it was time-she wore the gas nose thing, didn't flinch when she had her shots and the dentist was finished within 15 minutes.  She did absolutely wonderful-I guess the meds were needed
  • Mom reading to Reagan while waiting and some of the story had Spanish words in it.  Reagan said, "I know those are Amish words."  She also said that she thought that this morning was trip morning since we had woken up so early
  • Since she was a trooper, we headed to Target to pick up some shoes.  While there, Reagan must have been feeling the side effects of the morning.  She told Mom "let's head on" and then asked "can we walk faster"
  • Nonna and Pops coming over to hang with Campbell and the boys after Dad went to work
  • Anderson eating the whole bag of donut holes and half of an apple and Graham was not far behind him
  • Reagan having pudding and a few donut holes-when she ate the last donut she whined that she wanted another one.  Pops was ready to drive and buy her another dozen but Nonna had one in the car that satisfied her sweet tooth
  • The morning was fairly quiet-actually everyone played by themselves in the den while Mom fed Campbell
  • After a late lunch and reading a few books at the table, Graham fell sound asleep.  Reagan tried her hardest to wake him up so he could pull his chain off of the countdown.  She shook him, yelled in his ear and rubbed his head but he never stirred!
  • Reagan and Anderson pulling off Graham's chain and their own since we are a few days behind
  • Afternoon naps for everyone-but then Campbell woke up for a bottle right during naptime!  She was soon back asleep and Mom even took a quick nap!
  • Making banks and painting them before and after nap-Graham doesn't have the painting thing down just yet so he mainly paints his tummy, hands and table
  • Dad coming home and everyone having supper and then running a few errands
  • Playing at Grannymom's house after dropping off her trip pictures.  Staying over there very late but Reagan had earned a movie before bedtime so her and Anderson enjoyed that while Campbell and Graham went to bed
  • Reagan is now sleeping with her new shoes – she did take them off but they are right beside her in bed.

Dennie Kids: March 24, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • An early morning because we had to meet Grannymom, Lilly and Cash at the zoo
  • Before we left, Campbell managed to have a messy diaper and then proceeded to poo while Mom was changing her-poo all over the floor (but she did manage to hit the tiny spot of wood floors between the couch and rug)
  • Seeing the animals at the zoo-Anderson's favorite was the elephant and Reagan loved the lorikeets.  Graham enjoyed the fish but the giraffes, bears and lizards made him want to climb out of the stroller.  Anderson did ask to stay and watch the monkeys-they were eating and they threw the lettuce on the floor and grabbed the bananas.  Campbell did lose a sock during our trip and this stressed Reagan and Lilly out-they were very distraught about the missing sock (Mom wasn't too worried though)
  • Grannymom telling everyone they could chose between the merry-go-round and the train but that everyone had to decide.  Reagan said merry go round and then Lilly, Cash and Anderson all said train.  Reagan didn't say anything but just started to cry since she knew she had been out voted.  So Grannymom told her she could ride the merry go round instead and this made for one happy little girl.  Anderson briefly had a meltdown when he realized he wouldn't get to do both but a few Skittles and a spanking threat fixed that
  • Extending the outing with ice cream at McDonalds and playing on slide until naptime
  • A short nap until Mom woke us up since we were having company!
  • Millie and Carter coming over-Anderson laid on the couch with his head under a pillow for the first few minutes, Reagan followed Mom around with her fingers in her mouth, Campbell grinned and smiled and Graham woke up saying "hello" and ready to play
  • Everyone warming up and playing, screaming and squealing while eating their cheese tortillas, playing outside, running around the house and playing spies.  They also enjoyed making popsicles-while waiting on the popsicles, it was the only time they were remotely quiet!
  • Baths for everyone before bed-and it will be an early morning since Reagan and Mom have to be at the dentist at 7!  (Eeek!)
  • Before bed, Reagan said "wait a minute, Mom, I need to pray."  Here was her prayer "Dear God, please, please let us get to watch a movie before bed, please let it come true, Amen." -It was too late, so Mom still had to say no but promised her one tomorrow if she was good at the dentist.

Dennie Kids: March 23, 2010

Highlights from today:  (click here for pictures)

  • Anderson & Reagan waking up right at 7:00 and getting bed with Mom (Dad went to Anderson's bed for a few extra minutes of sleep)
  • Meeting Jacob, Ethan and Ms. April at Fellowship Bible for playtime on the playground
  • Before we had time to go home, it was time to go meet Grannymom & Lilly at the Woodland Edge playground
  • We were worn out when we got home and took a nap (Mom had to wake the boys up right before Dad got home from work.)
  • Going to Chick-Fil-A for Veggie Tales Family Night - we love their playground too plus their ice cream (Mom went with us for a little while before it was time for her to go to Bunko)
  • Staying almost 2 hours at Chick-Fil-A - we still weren't ready when Dad said it was time to go.  (And then Dad accidentally let 2 of our 3 balloons go in the parking lot.  He avoided major meltdown by letting the bid kids hold the big Diet Coke for the drive home.)
  • Everyone coming home and going straight upstairs for pj's, teeth brushing and then to bed.  None of us made a sound after getting in bed. We were tired!

Dennie Kids: March 22, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)
  • Spring break week started off with Reagan and Anderson up right at 7 but Graham sleeping until almost 8.  Campbell didn't wake up until the rest of us were eating breakfast
  • Pulling off two chains on our trip countdown-Reagan is so excited that her color is going to be the last chain pulled off
  • Reagan and Anderson working in their workbooks while Campbell ate and Graham colored
  • Mom walking on the treadmill but she didn't know that the 4 munchkins had made a plan to keep her off of it-there was some reason for her to get off every 3 minutes: snack, diaper, bottle, fight, potty-30 minutes on the treadmill took nearly an hour
  • A morning snack but then Mom realized it was lunch time and she snuck in some chicken and cheese and called it a meal!
  • Going with Mom to her work for a few minutes: Reagan said that Mom "was blessed to work where there is a slide"
  • Everyone sliding, playing in the balls and beans and swinging until it was time to go
  • On the way home, Mom had to hit her brakes suddenly and as she did she said "sorry" but she heard Graham saying "sorry" right along with her (Maybe she hits her brakes to often!)
  • Afternoon naps for everyone while Campbell stayed up and played with Mom
  • Graham waking up first and reading with Mom-then Anderson, Reagan and Campbell woke up to finish the stories.  It did help that Mom was bribing everyone with jelly beans to keep them still
  • Playing outside while waiting on Dad to come home-Anderson found some bunny ears in the garage and enjoyed wearing them
  • Running to pick up some supper with Mom and Dad before eating our supper and then getting a cookie!
  • Playing with our toys and watching one movie before bedtime

Dennie Kids: March 21, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Anderson pulling off our first link from our “Count Down to Arizona” chain – 33 days to go after Anderson pulled today’s link
  • Sunday morning with cini minis on the way to church.  Mom and Dad have found out that we can save 10-15 minutes by eating breakfast in the car
  • Mom being in Reagan's class and Mom finding out that Cate is going to be in her class next year-Reagan said that was good but she was going to play with her only some so she could make new friends (that little toot!)
  • Lunch at Nonna and Pops' house-they had some delicious Snicker's pie which Reagan loved
  • Campbell and Graham going grocery shopping with Dad while Reagan and Anderson (and Mom) had a nap
  • Taking Campbell's 3 month pictures-she only wakes up once a night, drinks 6-7 bottles filled each day, will smile at anyone who talks to her and loves her brothers and sister (especially Graham-mainly because he is always in her face, laying on her tummy and holding (yanking) her hand)
  • Supper for everyone before church-the favorite right now is melted cheese on round crackers
  • Back to church-Anderson has been going to Reagan's class on Sunday nights and her teachers weren't there so they had to go to his class.  Kaleigh was there and went in with them but Reagan said she was a little "nervous" going in her class.  Anderson wouldn't go in until he checked the window and made sure that the "teacher that he does not love" was not in there
  • Seeing Grannymom, Grandpa, Nonna, Pops and Jason after church and then home for popcorn and bed

Dennie Kids: March 20, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Dad took his turn on the treadmill while everyone else had breakfast-Graham loves applesauce!
  • Next Mom had her mandatory treadmill turn while everyone else had their baths-Campbell (who Mom has nicknamed "the baby who doesn't cry" actually fussed a little during her bath-maybe since she was starving!)
  • Playing in the den until it was time to eat lunch at the Flying Fish-Anderson said he wished that he could eat hush puppies "all day every day"
  • Walking across the Junction Bridge and then playing at the playground at the River Market.  Reagan and Anderson loved the slide, tunnels and climbing up the ladders.  Graham liked the slide but it he had to work very hard to climb up the hill and was ready to get in the stroller when it was time to head home
  • Afternoon naps for the boys.  Reagan said she doesn't sleep at "rest time" and only sleeps at "nap time"-Mom will have to start calling it nap time
  • Back out tonight to run a few errands.  While we were waiting on Dad to pick up our medicine, the rain came and we all watched the people running around with their umbrellas-quite entertaining
  • Playing in our rooms until bedtime.  The airport and airplane is one of the favorite toys around here and that is a good think since our next trip countdown starts tomorrow

Video: Campbell - 3 Months Old (March 20, 2010)

Dennie Kids: March 19, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • A lazy Friday morning-we played trains, read stories, rode our scooters and ate Dad's favorite breakfast: powdered donuts.  Reagan had 4, Graham ate 3 and Anderson had 5
  • Going to Lilly's park to play-we were the only ones there.  Graham can keep up with Reagan and Anderson on the slides.  Campbell enjoyed being outside and sitting in the stroller.
  • Taking a few walks around the circle at the park and having a picnic lunch followed by more playing
  • Coming home without a fuss-it did help that Mom had some candy to bribe us with
  • Afternoon naps.  Reagan woke up first and had a lollipop and read her Awana lesson with Mom
  • Graham was next to wake up followed by Anderson and Graham
  • Dad coming home and taking everyone out to eat-Chick-fil-a
  • We met Grannymom and Grandpa for supper and ate our food quickly so we could go and slide.  But we sure did come out of the slide area when we saw Dad holding ice cream!
  • One movie back at home before bedtime

Dennie Kids: March 18, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • School mornings seem to come around too soon but everyone did very well and were ready early-even Campbell sat in Dad's chair and watched the movie
  • Dad dropping off the 3 amigos at school-Reagan was the only one in her class until 9:50.  Her teacher suggested them going to Target or Starbucks and Reagan said "I don't think you can do that"
  • Mom dropping Campbell off at Nonna and Pops-Pop was feeding Campbell before Mom walked out the door
  • Campbell spending the morning drooling-she might be getting her first tooth fairly soon
  • Mom picking everyone up and they were ready to go-we headed first to Nonna's to pick Campbell up
  • Playing with Pops and Nonna and seeing Beebee and Papaw and eating a few snacks
  • Welcoming Grannymom and Grandpa home, they had been gone for a long, long time and had even brought us presents from Australia & New Zealand.  She brought us all animals and even a book that tells about her trip
  • Not getting home until after 5 and having to do lots before our big family night
  • A few nights ago, Mom and Dad helped Reagan and Anderson pick their brackets.  It was quite difficult-here is how it would go (and it did seem to take forever):
    • Mom: Villanova or Robert Morris
    • Reagan: Villa Morris
    • Anderson: Nova Bert
    • Dad: Who?
    • Anderson: Yes
    • Reagan: Either one
  • March Madness Basketball Family Night: We all dressed in our favorite team colors (yes, we know they didn't make the dance but are still our favorites).  After a hot dog supper, we made a basketball man and Dad read us a book.  Next, was pin the tail on the mascot and the grand prize game (remember the bozo show?).  Finally, we needed a snack and had a basketball rice krispie treat along with popcorn
  • Everyone was exhausted after family night (especially since we didn't start until 7) and went quickly to bed without a fuss

Dennie Kids: March 17, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Graham deciding that green  milk didn't sit well with him so he needed a change of sheets right after Mom and Dad went to bed-and then he couldn't get back to sleep without his taggie and foxy (in the wash)
  • Campbell and Mom getting ready for her 3 month Nutrition Center visit
  • Campbell now weighs 12 pounds and does not like the brain lab.  She fussed, then she went to the bathroom and then she fell asleep.  We couldn't wake her up so we let her doze for a few minutes before waking her up and surprise, we don't have to repeat brain lab
  • Psych testing for Campbell too-they said she is the most brilliant baby they have ever seen (or they said something like that)
  • Nonna staying with Reagan, Anderson and Graham.  She brought a big breakfast for us to eat and it was delicious.  She made eggs for us-but they weren't green like Moms
  • Anderson getting in trouble with Nonna-she even made him sit in time out and then go to his room!  Graham probably spent the morning screaming (like he does with Mom) and when Mom asked Reagan how she acted, she said "PRETTY good"
  • Working on a sign to welcome home Grannymom and Grandpa before naptime
  • Long naps for everyone and then getting our green clothes on to go to church
  • Dad coming home to ride with us and eating a huge amount of our corndogs for supper
  • Reagan and Anderson hearing a familiar voice in puppets during Cubbies.  During Cubbies, Reagan sees Mom and Dad in the hallway every time she changed classes and loves to wave at them
  • Anderson seeing a close up picture of a golf ball and telling Mom that we have been there-he was talking about Epcot!
  • Home for a snack before bed-Campbell is still up laying on the couch with her hands over her eyes!

Dennie Kids: March 16, 2010

  • A school morning where everyone was up, dressed, happy and calm before 7:30 (all wearing their St. Patrick's Day shirts)
  • Dad asking Graham if he was going to fuss when he dropped him off and he replied "uh huh"-and he did
  • Anderson having green kool-aid and making a shamrock picture.  When he saw Mom this afternoon he ran out of the class to give her a hug-he later said that was his favorite part of the day
  • Reagan being proud of herself that she went to the office today-but no she wasn't in trouble, just running an errand for her teacher
  • Campbell hanging with Nonna all day long and even getting a bath
  • Everyone playing outside at "Nonna's swingset" (actually her neighbors) until Mom said it was time to go home
  • Reading stories and a few movies before Dad came home
  • Opening a big package from houseparty.com – Mom is throwing a Ziplock party. Ever head of one?  Lots of goodies were in the big box.
  • Mom propping up Campbell's bottle while she was getting supper ready-bad move on Mom's part since this caused Campbell to need a bath, the floor to need mopping and the swing needing to be washed and then Mom had to calm Anderson down since he was afraid she was sick.  Mom learned that she must always burp the baby!
  • St. Patrick's Day Family Night-We started the night by taking our family picture, playing a green matching game and making green milk.  Mom had made green spaghetti with meatballs and Reagan was so excited about it but the boys didn't really seem to care.  Next Dad read The Night Before St. Patrick's Day book while Mom hid some shamrocks for the scavenger hunt.  After putting on pajamas, the kids took off on the scavenger hung following clues to fine the leprechaun who was holding some "green gold" (money) for every one.  Reagan and Anderson loved the scavenger hunt and Graham followed close behind them even though he had not a clue about what was happening.  After the hunt, we ate the green cookies that we had made
  • Everyone going to bed while Mom was washing today's green clothes to wear tomorrow.  On school nights, everyone sleeps well and hardly ever calls Mom and Dad upstairs.

  • Sleeping until 8 again this morning-what will we do in the morning before school?
  • Reagan asking about going outside as soon as she woke up
  • Breakfast and a few stories and then lots of playing
  • Painting a picture while Campbell laid in the kitchen floor and stared at her fist
  • Going outside early this morning in our pajamas-lots of fun but Mom can't trust Graham since he climbs up into the tree house and thinks the rock wall is a slide!
  • Lunch and then afternoon naps
  • Reagan having a meltdown after nap followed by Anderson hitting so the two of them were told they were going to bed early
  • Graham throwing his rice on the floor (he did have a few people encouraging him) so the bedtime was moved even earlier
  • Mom escaping as soon as everyone was in bed-but not asleep: Reagan said her bottom was as sore as it was from when we went to Disney World because she had been in bed so long

Dennie Kids: March 14, 2010

  • Waking up later than normal this morning (thanks, time change) and having to hurry around so we could make it to church only a few minutes late-of course, we had to stop by Burger King for breakfast

  • Lunch at Taco Bueno and a few errands before coming home
  • Dad driving everyone around in the neighborhood for a few minutes while Mom ran around the house like a mad woman straightening before naptime.  When Anderson came in, he said "Mom, why are you running?"
  • Campbell and Mom going back to church for a meeting while Reagan played outside, Graham hung inside with Dad and Anderson slept
  • Reagan seeing Graham take off his shirt and she was so impressed but she didn't know that he had a little help from Dad

  • At church, Reagan cornered Nonna and asked for her money for losing a tooth (Pops told her they would give her some)

Dennie Kids: March 13, 2010

  • Meanwhile, Campbell and Graham had their afternoon naps and played tools with Dad
  • Jacob, Kennedy and Camryn coming over for supper and to play.  Everyone was very good-most of the time (there was one incident: Kennedy, Reagan, Anderson and Jacob jumping in Graham's baby bed)
  • Mom making delicious cinnamon rolls as part of supper.  She asked Anderson if it was good and he said "VERY good"
  • Graham going to bed right after everyone left-he was exhausted.  Reagan and Anderson watched one last movie to wind down before bed

  • Playing with all of the cars-and we have a lot of cars
  • A visit to the library.  We found books, checked some out and Mom read some to us too-it was like our own personal story time.  Mom said that we were so good that we could even pick out a movie
  • Reagan having a major fit during their movie since Mom said she couldn't go outside that very second
  • Mom cutting finger and toenails which is a major undertaking-a total of 100 counting Moms
  • Afternoon naps for everyone-Anderson could sleep forever but Graham and Campbell have started waking at the same time and both wanting their milk!
  • Painting American flags-Reagan is meticulous, Anderson just wants to finish and Graham doesn't care what he paints-table, shirt, paper, it doesn't matter to him
  • Dad coming home and everyone playing outside on the swing set-even Dad
  • Supper out-Reagan and Anderson enjoyed trying to use chopsticks
  • Nonna and Pops coming over for a few minutes before bedtime
  • Brushing teeth tonight when Reagan lost her first tooth.  She had already brushed and then Dad brushed and then she spit it out.  (Dad did panic for a second because he couldn't find it but Mom spotted it as soon as she walked in-all before Reagan realized she had lost it)
  • Taking lots of pictures with Reagan's new smile and moving the tooth fairy pillow 16 times before bed-who knows what the tooth fairy will bring

  • Campbell waking up at 5:30 and not sleeping as well
  • as last night and then Graham waking up before Dad's alarm clock went off
  • Everyone getting ready for school this morning in a hurry but Reagan demanded that everything stop and Mom make pb and j for breakfast
  • Campbell spending the day at Nonna and Pop's house-she had a great day-eating, sleeping, smiling!
  • Graham's teacher saying that he never screams at school.  Mom had asked since all he does it scream at Mom at home
  • Anderson was very happy to tell Reagan that he didn't have the "spit ups" anymore (she however knew that since it has been a week since he did)
  • Mom telling Anderson that we could go to Nonna's house if he had been good at school.  Then Reagan said, "well, I did talk to Avery during naptime."  Mom asked what Ms. Amy said and Reagan said that she told them to be quiet and they did.
  • Playing with Pops for a while in the back yard before he had to leave and then playing with Nonna, Beebee and Papaw in the front yard.  Reagan made hopscotch on the driveway and Beebee even did a little hopscotching
  • Anderson enjoying riding on the Nonna's flat driveway and Graham just ran and ran around the yard
  • Coming home to find another diaper box on the front porch and then playing with toys
  • Swinging outside until supper-Reagan can swing very high on her swing without any pushes now and Anderson can do the same on the see saw
  • Taking our pictures and then making some popcorn-it was movie night!
  • Getting our sleeping bags, pillows, popcorn, candy and chocolate milk to watch Snow White.  It was actually quite scary-Mom is worried that Anderson may not sleep tonight
  • Everyone staying up late to finish the movie and then heading to bed

  • Waking up way too early with Graham but then Mom realized that she hadn't woke up with Campbell-she slept all night!  (12-7)
  • Reagan and Anderson begging Mom to go outside and play before Dad left for work-so everyone played outside in their pajamas
  • Nonna coming over and playing while Mom worked a little in the house
  • Playing with playdoh and have lunch-lots of fruit
  • Reagan has a loose tooth and spent most of yesterday and all of today wiggling it.  She made Nonna play "tooth fairy" for hours this afternoon
  • Nonna going home but first the boys did a little "driving" in her car-but then they had major meltdowns and were put to bed
  • Afternoon naps for everyone and then a quick movie and snack before church
  • Supper at church and a little bit of running around before class
  • Lots of excitement at church-a tornado warning!  Reagan's cubbies class went to the room nearest Mom and Dad and sat and had snacks, Anderson said he went to another room for a bit and Campbell and Graham both hung out in a tiny nursing room during the storm.
  • On the way home, we were talking about the lightening and Reagan said "is that why something happened at Cubbies?"  She knew something was not quite right about 40 kids coming in her room and everyone sitting by the wall.
  • Mom talking to Nonna on the phone in the car and when she hung up, Graham said "who was that?" as clear as could be.  Mom replied "Nonna" and he said "oh"
  • Anderson telling Reagan that the storm was fine since "God is with us in our tummies"-well, pretty close

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Campbell up at 2:00 a.m. for a bottle; Graham up at 4:00 a.m. thinking he needed milk; Dad tried to make him wait but gave in so he could go back to sleep
  • Anderson up at 6:30 a.m. and into the bath tub, next Reagan and then Graham
  • Dad getting everyone to school (Graham still fusses initially) and Mom getting Campbell over to Nonna’s
  • Everyone had a good day at school – Anderson’s note said he was “energetic”.  Mom had to make sure this was a good thing. Ms. Mary said, “Yes” – he was particularly excited about playing Duck, Duck, Goose. He was having trouble getting the other kids to understand how to play
  • In between work and picking everyone up, Mom ran a few errands and stopped by the house to find 6 large boxes on the steps – Dad’s Target order of diapers had arrived. He thinks we should almost have enough to last a few weeks (or month) with his bargain shopping
  • Mom picking up R, G and C and heading off to Nonna’s to pick up Campbell
  • Everyone coming home and playing before Dad got home – we even picked a few of our new flowers that have sprung up
  • Chicken sandwiches for supper – sometimes we would rather not eat but just ask “How many more bites?”
  • Mini melt-down for Graham as Mom left for Bunko but he soon recovered with a round of playing trains and then watching Dinosaur Train before bedtime

  • Another restful night (hopefully, that stomach bug has left our house for good)
  • Talking about going to the park this morning but April called to ask if we wanted to go to the zoo
  • Everyone putting on their clothes as fast as they could and heading downstairs for breakfast
  • Campbell's first visit to the zoo.  The kids enjoyed seeing the animals-except Graham was quite scared of the elephants.  The elephants were bowling-one made a strike and one elephant was playing the harmonica.
  • A picnic at the zoo and then lots of tired kids coming home for a nap.  Graham and Campbell riding the entire time at the zoo so Reagan and Anderson were exhausted!
  • Afternoon naps-Graham woke up first.  He sat in Mom's lap, asked for his milk "juice" and then asked to watch tv "choo choo"
  • Reagan waking up next and her and Graham going outside to play while Anderson decided to stay in and drink his milk
  • Leftovers for supper and then a walk around the block with Dad
  • Reagan, Anderson and Graham playing trains on top of the treadmill while Dad ordered Campbell some more diapers! (she still wears a size 1 and we were running out)
  • Graham finally getting the hang of brushing his teeth-we don't have to lay on him to get him to brush any longer!

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • A very rough night for Reagan-she was up every hour getting sick.  Thankfully, she has perfect aim in a plastic bag or the potty! (pretty impressive for a 4 year old)  She slept in bed with Mom and was so surprised that Campbell woke up in the middle of the night to eat
  • Anderson, Campbell, Graham and Mom going to church this morning and Mom almost forget to make the cinni mini stop-that would have been a disaster!  Dad and Reagan stayed home to get better
  • Mom and Uncle Jason helping out in Anderson's class.  His buddy is Owen and they really enjoy playing together
  • Reagan and Dad going outside to swing, playing cards and reading books during church.  Since this is their second week in a row to skip (fever virus last week) Reagan has gotten used to having Daddy time all to herself
  • Lunch at Nonna and Pops for everyone that went to church.  The boys went over to Beebee and Papaws with Uncle Jason to try out their new chair. Mom heard that Anderson enjoyed it but Graham wasn't too pleased by it
  • Back home and everyone had long and much needed afternoon naps
  • Graham and Dad running to buy some milk and pick up supper
  • Reagan putting on her church clothes (including panty hose and shoes) and playing church with the boys-she was the teacher and had to sit on the table to read them books.  She misses church, well, she missed wearing her dresses, after missing 2 Sundays
  • A few movies and a restful evening before bedtime

  • Even though everyone stirred multiple times through the night and all 4 kids starting waking up around 5, we did manage to lay around until nearly 9
  • Then we hurried off to Caleb's birthday party-there were slides, climbing, basketball, roller seats and roller skates (which is harder work for Mom than for Reagan or Anderson)
  • Coming home and Dad starting to get sick so everyone hid out in the den and played outside then Mom took Campbell to the baby shower she was going to while the other kids slept
  • More playing outside after nap time and then going out to eat (Dad was feeling much, much better-maybe it was just last nights pizza)
  • Coming home and Reagan saying she didn't feel good-and she didn't!  It must be Anderson's stomach bug- it continues to strike-3 down and now 3 to go!
  • Anderson and Mom running an errand while Dad was holding down the fort-not so well!
  • All is well now-Dad going to sleep on the couch (so maybe Mom won't get it), Campbell in her bathroom/bedroom, Graham sleeping peacefully in his bed, Reagan sleeping with Mom in her bed (she is okay now but pretty pitiful acting) and Anderson in Mom's floor in his sleeping bag (he thinks it is awesome that he is having a sleepover in Mom's room!)

Dennie Kids: March 5, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • A fussy morning for all-everyone waking up before 6:30-which leads to fussy kids and a fussy Mom and Dad.  They took over Mom's bed which pushed Mom and Dad out of bed too early
  • Bananas for Graham, Reagan and Anderson for breakfast-they even ate Mom's banana
  • Campbell finally waking up (she ate around 5 so she was slept until after breakfast)
  • Everyone watching Mom while she was on the treadmill-Reagan played with her animals, Anderson played cars, Graham floated around from toy to toy and Campbell laid in the chair and kicked
  • Mom letting Reagan, Anderson and Graham go outside to play in their pajamas!  Lots of swinging and sliding-Graham can even climb up into the tree house by himself (which panics Mom-he did slip once, thankfully while Mom was right there and from then on he would only climb when Mom was nearby)
  • Finding their watering cans and playing in the mud-Graham doesn't have a watering can so he would just put his shovel into the faucet and then drink it!
  • Everyone putting on their clothes and heading to Target.  Mom gave them 5 tickets and if they kept them we could have lunch at Target and they were perfect (well, as perfect as 4 kids can be at lunchtime)
  • Eating our lunch at Target and sharing an Icee and then coming home for a nap
  • Campbell stirring during naptime and wanting to lay with Mom and then Graham waking up next-he just sat in Mom's lap until she had to feed Campbell.  He wasn't happy that he couldn't get in Mom's lap-that was first time that had happened
  • Meeting Sarah Ashley and some more friends at Larry's pizza tonight.  Anderson and Reagan hung out in the game room, Graham sat with Dad, grinned and ate ice and Campbell let everyone hold her and had 2 bottles
  • Coming home and going straight to bed-Campbell fussed before falling asleep since she was so tired

Dennie Kids: March 4, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Graham and Campbell waking up at 5:50 this morning-way too early!  But that was the longest that Campbell has slept at night-from 12 to 5:50 (almost all night!)
  • Reagan and Anderson waking up next and were up next and ready quick enough to have some toast but still finished it in the car
  • Graham fussing as usual when Dad dropped him off
  • Campbell having a great day with Nonna and Pops-she ate, slept, had a little bath, ate and slept some more
  • Mom getting that dreaded Mother's Day Out phone call: Anderson was sick.  The whole way to school she was praying that they had called the wrong mom but no, it was her Anderson.  He acted pretty pitiful with Mom but perked up when he saw Reagan
  • His sweet sister finding an M&M for him in the car which didn't sit too well on his tummy.  Thank goodness Mom handed him a bag before leaving school.
  • Coming home and before Reagan got out of the van, she used the hand sanitizer and put some on Graham's hands
  • A bath for the boys (Anderson needed one but Graham started saying "bath, bath, bath" the minute Mom told Anderson he was headed to the tub)
  • Reagan making Anderson a precious get well card-which he threw down on the floor!  He later apologized (Mom did make him though).  But Reagan didn't seem to care to much
  • Graham finding a piece of paper on the floor and Mom saw him trying to stick it on his back like the nametags at church.  So she gave him a sticker and he put that on his back too!  Poor kid won't ever know where to put a sticker
  • Nonna and Pops bringing Campbell back home-she stayed at Nonna's house until they ran low on bottles and diapers
  • A tiny bit of supper for Anderson-he had been begging to eat and drink for hours but Mom kept distracting him
  • Playing and watching movies tonight while Mom was at class meeting
  • Everyone going to bed feeling good (hopefully, that will continue throughout the night!) but Campbell staying up now watching a little American Idol

Dennie Kids: March 3, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Everyone upset at Mom because she wanted them to put on their clothes and take off their pajamas this morning-they love their pjs a little too much
  • Still celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday by making green eggs and ham.  Everyone enjoyed cooking it but Anderson ate more than Reagan or Graham despite the face that he had said he didn't want any
  • Coloring some green eggs and ham and reading the book before begging Mom for some toast
  • Playing downstairs and then upstairs before heading out Nonna's house
  • The boys and Campbell hanging with Nonna while Reagan and Mom went for her dentist appointment (she still has to go back for them to do the real thing though)
  • Snacks and lunch at Nonna's house and then coming home for a nap
  • Reagan having a major meltdown after nap-screaming for a snack (we were getting in the car to go to church and eat supper so she could wait)
  • Cubbies and puppets-everyone went to class tonight and seemed to have a good time (Mom didn't send Campbell's paci but she was fine)
  • A snack before bedtime-Reagan had to go to bed early because of the fit she threw earlier in the day

Dennie Kids: March 2, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • A school morning and a work morning for Mom (her first in a few months) and everyone was able to get dressed, brush their teeth and even eat breakfast before rushing out of the door
  • Graham throwing a huge fit (as always) when Dad dropped him off at school
  • Campbell loving her day with Nonna-she ate, smiled, stared at the fan, napped and even saw Beebee for a little bit
  • Reagan and Anderson coming home with whiskers on their faces-they were celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today-Mom couldn't believe Reagan let someone draw on her face!
  • A few books, watching a movie, coloring and Reagan doing her homework before supper
  • Everyone eating Mom's leftovers from lunch, chicken parmesan.  The boys ate it up but Reagan did not eat the meat and told Mom that she wanted the pasta long next time (Mom had cut it up)
  • A quick trip to Kroger after supper-Reagan and Anderson still had on their whiskers and Anderson was wearing Graham's pants (Mom told Dad his pants were in the hall-oops, Graham's pants were in the hall-so they were about 5 inches too short)  Needless to say, we were quite a sight!
  • Playing until bedtime (all but Campbell who is swinging and fussing now!)

Dennie Kids: March 1, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Campbell waking up (as usual) around 4:30 this morning to drink her milk, go to the bathroom and then go back to sleep
  • Graham sleeping later than anyone else then joining Reagan and Anderson on Mom's bed to have his milk and watch a movie
  • Playing princesses and Lightening McQueen until time for breakfast
  • More playing downstairs-the favorite thing to play today was Littlest Pet Shop animals (until Anderson started chasing Reagan's little pets with his T-Rex)
  • Working in our workbook and then coloring some pictures-Graham loves to color especially with the markers!
  • Lunch but no one seemed to like the mac and cheese that they loved the other day
  • More playing and a few stories before nap time and again today Graham didn't want to go to bed but Mom insisted
  • Campbell waking up as soon as everyone else went to sleep
  • A few movies after nap along with a few snacks
  • Hiding from Dad when he came home-we love for him to find us as soon as he comes in the door
