We had a fairly lazy day around the campsite. Robby and I didn't even manage to go on a single long walk. We made the loop at one point this morning-or maybe we didn't, I'm not even sure now.
When I went to the bathroom at 6:30 this morning, Whitman was sitting on the couch wide awake. I leaned over to him and asked if he had been asleep. He assured me that he had and said that he was awake because it was light. We think that he wanted to wake up early because he had opened the blinds in the window beside him.
Robby and I slept a little bit longer this morning, but we left early to go to a park ranger tour about the Mather Lodge. A lot of the things that we learned, I had told to Robby over breakfast as I was reading the brochure, but it was still a really good program. We were going to let Whitman sleep longer this morning and skip it and still let him skip it even though he was awake, but he would have found it interesting.
When we came back from the tour, we saw that our next campsite was empty, so we quickly loaded up and moved to the next site. Thankfully, we do have some shade, but not nearly as much as the other site. We set all the things up-even the baggo boards.
Robby and I walked to the visitor's center and were there for a little bit looking around. Then we came back to the camper. We had our lunch as the game started. He watched tv while I read and took a nap. I didn't even get around to crocheting today, and we didn't even do much at all.
The Smiths pulled in this afternoon-we sat outside so we could watch them pull into their site. There was no drama so it was uneventful. The man on the other side of us did hit the pole when he pulled in, so that was a little bit of drama.
We visited with them for most of the evening. For supper, Robby made chicken tacos along with all of the fixings. The kids all ate cheese quesadillas though, but after they had all gone in, Robby heated some cookies up on the griddle.
Robby forgot to turn on the hot water heater after our move, so hopefully I will have enough hot water tonight. He did jump in the shower first so I'm wondering if he will use it all up!
