  • Day 3 of Camp Geyer. They had cinnamon rolls for the workers this morning which was a big hit. Campbell did just tell me that she didn't get one-ugh! These children! We did get a text a few minutes ago saying that they have leftovers and to come to the kitchen today. I told her that she was going to get one tomorrow, and I would happily bring it home.
  • There was a bit of excitement early when the lights went out briefly-people seemed to be relatively calm, but the janitor's walkie talkies were filled with chatter and all the staff that I saw were on their phones. Thankfully, the power did come back on quickly.
  • Today, since I had a different group of kids come for cooking, we did the same first recipes again-they are really both winners: apple pies and pizza pies. Tomorrow is the crazy day, but maybe we have the kinks worked out.
  • Robby got the oil changed on two cars while we were all parked at church. He then left the car he drove and went to eat with Grannymom. Reagan, of course, stayed at work to finish the day. Anderson went to eat, to Goodwill and bought a coat of tacky prom at camp, and to a friend's house to swim, Campbell and Graham went to work, and I went with Keaton, Sophia, and Whitman to Walmart for a few camp supplies and to Great Clips for a hair cut for Whitman.
  • People all started coming in this afternoon. They were all here for a bit-Reagan and Keaton have napped for a while, Campbell just finished making brownies for us, Anderson and Whitman are on their devices, and Graham went to play pickleball after the rain.
