- Robby had to wake up around 6, and last night I joked that I would get up when he did. And would you believe that I woke right up with his alarm. I hardly hear my alarm every morning and then hit snooze again and a again, but today I was wide awake.
- Thankfully, I was able to go to back to sleep and then his my snooze for a very long time. I still did my morning chores plus walked 2 miles before anyone else in the house was awake-except for Bentley. She was waiting for me when I came in the door.
- It was fairly quiet this morning until Graham and Campbell started stirring. They went to work at 1 but were able to come home an hour early, so that was good on a Friday afternoon.
- Whitman and Keaton both work up before Campbell and Graham left which is early for both of them to wake up. I didn't see too much of Whitman, but Keaton was downstairs a good bit of the afternoon. I did leave around 3 to meet up with Robby.
- We did run some errands and managed to make enough to reach Robby's goal for the week. Now to get started on his next weeks goal. There were a lot of people needing candy on this Halloween night.
- Robby and I ate out on the way home at the newish Mexican restaurant on Hwy 5. It was good, but we didn't find any salsa there that we liked-the chips were excellent though. We even had some gelato on the way home plus we picked up the kids Sonic drinks to end our Halloween celebrations.

October 30, 2025
- This was the first Thursday in a few weeks that Robby took the girls to Mother's Day Out. This meant that I had a little bit of extra time to read with Whitman.
- On my facebook, I constantly see homeschoolers talking about their kids not liking the curriculum that they are doing. Of course, not child loves all of school, and I sure wouldn't change things just because someone just doesn't like it. However, today, Whitman pointed to the book that we were reading through and said, "you know this is really good." I could have taken a victory lap around the house.
- Graham woke up soon after and worked on his school. Whitman took a few breaks so he stretched his school out until after the girls came home. I was able to do most of my walks today-it was pretty chilly this morning, but I had to take off my hat and scarf before I made it home. Then this afternoon I had to take off my jacket because of the wonderful sun.
- Around 4, Robby and I left to run some errands. When we were finished, we picked up the kids free Chickfila. We all ate, and then Whitman showed me a game on my phone. And I believe that the girls are putting on their Christmas tree upstairs!
October 29, 2025
- The weather said that it was raining this morning so I stayed in bed a bit longer, but when I did wake up I wasn't so sure if it was actually raining or not. I decided that was fine because I would walk this afternoon. Listen though, it is been so cold in this house all day, and it has been super cold and windy outside too-I just skipped walking. Now tomorrow I will have to just put on some warm clothes and get out there, but today I took it easy. (I would like to say that I had a nap, and did close my eyes for 15 seconds before someone needed something.)
- This morning while doing school work, our lights blinked for a half second. This caused a stir-I made it clear that we would still be doing school even if there was no power. However, the excitement was in hopes that the power would be out causing Graham and Campbell not to go to work.
- However, our power never did go out despite the wind. Robby brought Campbell and Graham home lunch, but he was a bit late so they were a stressed about getting to work on time. It all worked out well, and they were able to enjoy their food.
- This afternoon, I spent some time cleaning the laundry room closet upstairs. Then I went to work on getting food ready for Keaton to have some people over. Campbell tried to have some folks over too, but they all had plans-this was all because the church cancelled our fall fest tonight (they cancelled a bit prematurely). However, part of me is super thankful that they did cancel it because I would have been miserable outside tonight.
- I fed Keaton's people-there were only 5 of them or maybe 6. I guess I have forgotten that is how many kids we have so I probably didn't have to make enough food for an army and a half. Either way though, I have leftovers so someone will eat it tomorrow-maybe.
October 28, 2025
- It was so incredibly dark this morning, and I loved sleeping in for a little bit longer while it rained. I had a little bit of extra time, but there was already a mess for me to start working on. Last night, Robby asked if I was awake, and then explained that the boys were sleeping in the living room.
- The boys have an air conditioner in their room which vents out of the window. We had this problem last year, but this time of the year brings a certain type of bug which enters through that not so sealed window. I think that last year we were more on top of it.
- They had seen a few bugs, but last night they found lots-Whitman kept pointing out while Graham used all of the paper towels in the house. It must have been quite the ordeal, but they didn't even come and get us. Robby just heard them in the living room-they weren't sleeping in their room again.
- After a thorough spray last night, this morning I started washing all of their sheets, blankets, and comforters. (Graham has about 7 different blankets on his bed and wanted to keep them all) Later in the morning, I worked on vacuuming behind the beds, and by the end of the afternoon the boys room is cleaner than it has been in a very long time.
- This urged the girls on as well so they vacuumed, washed sheets, and even cleaned out today some as well. I have a goal to clean and straighten most things in the house within the next 30 days so I guess this was a good start.
- This afternoon Grannymom came over, and we made lotion for Christmas gifts. Campbell, Keaton, and Whitman all helped for a little bit. We made almost twice as many as I had planned, but I guess that is a good thing. It was a fun project, and now we are a little bit more ready to Christmas.
- Tonight I made (heated up, actually) butter chicken from Sams-and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, Keaton didn't even try it, Campbell and Whitman didn't really like it, and I'm not sure what Graham thought. Robby and I did like it though!
- When Robby came home, we ran to Costco to buy some paper towels (see above) and a few more things. Now, Campbell is doing school, Keaton is working on making a sweatshirt to sell, Graham is watching baseball, and Whitman is ipading!
October 27, 2025
- It was pretty dark and dreary this morning, so before I got out of bed, I looked at the weather hoping for rain. Unfortunately, it wasn't raining so I pressed on with my walk.
- We did the school bit this morning-it went well, and even though I forgot to make sure Graham was awake (I had woken him up once and then heard him set his alarm for later), he still managed to finish everything even though he slept in.
- Today was permit test number 4 for Keaton, and she passed! Finally! Our first day there when we had to do all of the paperwork and most of the other days that Keaton has taken the test, she has had the same lady checking her in. This lady has been extremely nice, and I think Keaton may have passed her test today because of this lady.
- When she was checking Keaton in, she went through how to skip questions, how to have the test read on the headphones to you, and how to ask for help. This time Keaton decided to click the help button because there was a word she didn't know. She thought it would just bring up a dictionary or something; however, clicking the help button brought the lady over. She asked Keaton which one she thought it was, Keaton showed her, and the lady smiled and nodded.
- So I guess this office is the DMV, but the employees there have been so nice and kind-every single time we have been there lately...and it has been a lot!
- We came home after celebrating with some Starbucks. I then did some things around the house before working with Whitman. When he did finish school, his project was trying on some jeans. He needs some new church pants, so I went upstairs and found him about 20 pairs of pants in about 4 different sizes that might fit him. I was only able to get him to try on 2 pairs tonight-neither of those worked, but maybe during tomorrow's try ons he will find some.
- Campbell made some bacon while Graham cooked some eggs tonight. I made some biscuits so we just had ourselves a breakfast supper. Campbell has also made some homemade hot chocolate which will enjoy in a bit!
October 26, 2025-Halloween Hopefully at Maumelle
Robby and I woke up this morning with plans to drive the vans back home to get ready for church. However, at the last minute he decided to take the camper to hopefully avoid some of the afternoon rain. We left one van, and I drove on home while he emptied the tanks before heading home himself to get ready.
Graham was already awake and showering when I came in. Campbell and Keaton had spent the night at church so they were already there and in their spots when we came in. After church, we went to Nonna and Pops' house for Sunday lunch. They had bbq which was good, but not nearly as good as Nonna's beans are. I didn't get her bean making skill, but hers are always delicious.
We then headed home-the girls had naps and Graham was super quiet so he may have napped as well. Robby and I worked on emptying the camper and putting things away from our month of camping trips that we have had. We have a trip in two weeks but things are pretty straight and ready for that. I still have to clean the camper tomorrow, but that doesn't take too long.
Whitman and Keaton had their lifegroups tonight-Robby took Keaton, and Whitman rode with friends. Before Robby took Keaton, he dropped Campbell off at a fall party. Graham went to Rock Creek to play dodgeball tonight and made it to the championship. Anderson spent some time in Little Rock at a friend's church this evening.
I still have to go and pick up Campbell, but it is pretty cozy on this couch!
October 25, 2025-Halloween Hopefully at Maumelle
My blog title for this week has been "Halloween Hopefully," and we were indeed able to have Halloween tonight. Once again, the day just worked out perfectly.
We started the morning with Robby going to OBU for the EEE dad's day. Robby left here around 9:30 and made it there in plenty of time. They had Mexican for lunch and was quite the spread. There was a speaker, Jason Curry, and even a craft. We had been making fun of the dad's doing a craft during the week, but it was just a picture in a magnetic picture frame which was a perfect craft.
As Robby drove back, he passed the football game where Anderson was watching the Tigers win their game-it was raining well so I bet Anderson and his people were pretty wet by the end of the game.
When Robby left here, I went for a short walk around with Bentley. I had planned to walk longer but Keaton text changing the time I needed to pick her up to an hour early so that cut my walk short. I left Whitman a note, and went to pick up Keaton.
She had spent the night at a friend's house for their birthday party. When we came back home, I folded some laundry and talked to Graham who had just woken up. Campbell was still asleep. I then came back to the camper, turned on football, and finished my book.
Robby made it back just as the rain was really starting so we had ourselves a nap. Then it was time for the Halloween festivities to begin. We first camped here during the Halloween thing in 2021 and missed 2023, but it has rained at least some every year except for the first year.
The rain cleared with only a few bits of misty rain tonight. Shannon and Tony stayed back and handed out candy while we walked around with Whitman and Jason. We hit all the loops and made it back in a little bit over an hour. Whiman's bag probably weighed 8 pounds-he wasn't eating on it too much earlier, but right now I can hear him going to town on his candy.
When we came back from the loops, Whitman went in a had himself a warm shower while Robby and I ate some taco soup with the Wilsons as we handed out the rest of the candy. Around 8 we started to pick up and after a short walk, we are already in the camper and snug in the bed by 9. The rain is just beginning, and there is nothing better than sleeping with it lightly raining in this camper.
October 24, 2025-Halloween Hopefully at Maumelle
Today was a really great day. I hate that rain is coming in tomorrow because this has just been a fun camping trip. Robby and I walked with Shannon this morning, and then after a bite to eat, we went to pick up some things I had ordered for my Tuesday project.
We got to the store and realized that 3 of the 4 things I had ordered they were out of stock. We just drove on over to North Little Rock and found everything. I was glad to mark all of that off my list a day early since I had planned on doing it tomorrow.
We came back to the camper and joined the Wilsons on another walk. That put us at over 4.5 miles of walking for the day so I was glad to get my miles in. Of course, this also meant that we missed out naps!
Robby started a fire at our campsite, and I went to visit the other group-we missed their group meal because we ate with the Wilsons tonight. I sent my dessert and cornbread muffins, so then Amber sent me back with two containers of soup.
I wanted to sample the soup, but I was too full from our supper that Tony made. He had lots of pasta for Shannon, Brett, and all of Brett's buddies who are running a half marathon tomorrow. Graham and Campbell came over after work too so we had quite the crowd. We had a beautiful fire plus we had the Hogs basketball game on.
I chatted with Reagan and Anderson tonight. Reagan had a girl in the dorm cut her hair-she said it was short but would grow. She also sent a picture, and I really couldn't tell much of a difference so it wasn't that short. Anderson went to an E Twirp (The Woman is Required to Pay) outing tonight with a friend from church. Reagan was there in her poodle skirt.
Grannymom helped us out tonight and took Keaton to a friend's birthday party-at least I think that it was a birthday party. I'm not exactly sure. Graham was going to take her, but that would have caused him to get to the campground super late so she helped us out.
Whitman is living his best life. He only did leave the camper to help start the fire and to eat supper. He did toy with the idea of going on a walk with us, but he changed his mind. You would think that he would not have too many steps today since he has just been in the camper-but no, the candy is in the back of the camper so he has done plenty of from his spot, to the candy, then back to his spot, then to the trash can (which is full of candy wrappers), and then back to his spot-and then he repeats the process.
Tomorrow, I'm picking up Keaton from her party, Robby is going to the EEE's dad's day, we will make soup, Keaton has another birthday party, and Campbell and Keaton are both going to a lock in-and busy day plus we will have rain to deal with. Hopefully, it just misses us (not going to happen!)
October 23, 2025-Halloween Hopefully at Maumelle
The girls wanted me to make sure that they were awake at 8:15 this morning. Graham said that I needed to wake him up at that time as well. So guess who else got woken up at 8:!5-Whitman. And since he was awake, we even started reading early this morning. We weren't able to read too long because it was soon time for me to take the girls' to Mother's Day out. Campbell drove us and did just fine-actually, I'm not sure how she did because I was too busy happily drinking my hot chocolate on the car ride.
We came home, and I worked with Whitman and then quickly with Graham. Next I must have been away from my phone for a while, because I just watched about 5 minutes of videos that Graham and Whitman made from my phone.
I was probably in the kitchen during this time looking for eggs. I had two things to make, and they both called for eggs plus milk which I didn't really have enough of. Also since there was a list of a few other things, I just decided that I would leave and head to the store. I do work with Whitman on school a few times a day, but he can do everything without me-my main job is to keep his focused. So without me there, he probably moved a little slower on his school work, but he was still able to get everything accomplished today.
I grabbed what I needed from the store, and then came home and made cornbread muffins and a chocolate cookie bar. In between making those, I made the boys grilled cheese sandwiches. It took me a while to clean the kitchen, but I finished just as it was time to pick up Campbell and Keaton.
They had to babysit after Mother's Day Out, and on the way there I was going to stop at Dollar Tree to buy one thing that I needed for a project with Grannymom next week. And goodness, we went in, walked up and down the aisles, and I never even thought about what I needed to look for. I was so mad at myself that I forgot-that is why I always need to make a list.
After dropping the girls off, I came home and loaded the car. Then Whitman and I headed to Maumelle for the weekend. Robby cooked chicken enchiladas for supper, and we walked a bit while it baked. Shannon joined us for supper. After supper, we headed to another campsite to visit some more. We stayed there until it was almost 11 sitting by the campfire chatting away.
October 22, 2025-Halloween Hopefully at Maumelle
I woke up to go to the bathroom this morning exactly one hour before my alarm went off-that was horrible. Of course, the first thing I did when getting back in the bed was to turn my alarm back a good bit.
I woke up well rested, but I had to move pretty quick. My walk had to be longer, and a few chores I had to do later in the day. We managed though, and everyone survived.
We did the school thing today, and while reading with Keaton and Whitman we finished our science book. I have bought a few new books this year, so I have a bookshelf of books that we are to finish this year, plus I'm acquiring a shelf full of books for later. Of course all of this has caused me to clean out so I have a pile of books I need Anderson to list on ebay for me.
Keaton convinced me to make pancakes for breakfast this morning. Well, she actually made the batter, and I just cooked them. I had intended to make grilled cheese for lunch, but everyone ate the rolls that we had instead. Maybe I will make the boys some tomorrow-I have some bread that I need to use up.
Campbell and Graham went to work. Robby read on the blog that this was Cambpell's one year anniversary at Joels. This afternoon Whitman did the rest of his school work-I guess, I still haven't seen his last thing. Keaton spent a good deal of time getting ready for church tonight.
When the workers came home, I left with everyone but Graham to head to church. Whitman was the first one out of the car-I think he was just as anxious as the girls to get there. When church was over, everyone rode home with Graham because he went to ChickFilA-Whitman and I did too to pick up his nuggets, and then we went to Tacos for Life to pick up Robby's birthday trio. By the time that we made it home, and I settled in to eat-the girls were back and helped me finish the tacos for life.
Now, I'm on the couch, and I'm definitely getting myself some hot chocolate in a few minutes!
October 21, 2025-Halloween Hopefully at Maumelle
It was a bit chilly this morning, but it wasn't too bad as I was on my walk. I was at least able to wear shorts today, but I did have to keep moving to stay warm.
I made it home and went to work on the laundry. There were so many sweatshirts that the laundry pile was huge, but thankfully, the sweatshirts were quick to fold. I know my laundry will be a lot today too because last night the girls laundry basket was crammed full of clothes-and I only took half. I figured that those clothes had been on the closet floor for weeks so they could spend another few days in the laundry basket.
I guess I should update you on the potty situation-they have all been cleaned today and cleaned well today (I did it.) So we are not accepting unexpected visitors. Campbell is actually vacuuming right now so this place is looking super tidy. Well, the kitchen isn't too tidy currently-Bentley has spread her food out all over. Usually she will eat and find all of the pieces she has scattered, but she has not yet.
We finished most of school-well, everyone but Whitman did. He was moving slowly today, but he did do all of his hard things first so his afternoon didn't take him too long though he spread it out all afternoon. I left with Robby to take to camper to Maumelle. He will stay there until Whitman and I join him later this week. Hopefully, we will get to have Halloween at Maumelle and the rain will miss us, but it isn't really looking like that will happen.
This evening we went to Nonna and Pops' house to celebrate Pops' 79th birthday. Jason picked up pizza for us, and we ate and visited. Then we opened some presents after blowing out candles on Pops' cakes (he had two different ones)
Now, we are home, and I'm settled n the couch about to read my book for a little bit.
October 20, 2025
- It was a bit of a hectic day today, but we survived. I did less reading this morning with Keaton and Whitman because I didn't have much time before I had to leave the house. After reading, I was able to do some quick work with Whitman.
- Then Campbell humored me and worked with me early. Campbell and Keaton like to do all their work with me when they are finished with everything so we can check their work too at that time. When I finished with her, Graham and I did some math really quickly, and then I ran out the door to meet Robby at a funeral.
- Afterwards, I had to pick up one thing before going to Old Navy for a return and a pick up. Campbell needed some fuzzy socks for a party coming up so when I found some I snatched them up-and when I left only paying 53 cents for them, I was super happy.
- I checked a bit of school when we came in, but then I left with Keaton for her permit test. Once again, she didn't pass, and once again she made it to the last question so she is super close. She is determined to do it again next week so we might just go to Benton to take the test and spice things up a little.
- When I came home this time, I checked Whitman's work and worked with him. Then, I had to do the same with Keaton. It was too long before Robby and I left again-we had one errand and then ate at Texas Roadhouse. We managed to bring home 4 rolls, 6 chicken tenders, 6 potato skins, a bowl of mac and cheese, and 1/2 of a steak plus we were both full!
- We also stopped and picked up a few birthday rewards for Robby-Laynes chicken and Tacos for Life. Needless to say, when we pulled into the garage everyone was waiting on us-or maybe they were waiting on our food.
- Keaton and Whitman are working on making a dessert pizza right now, but I think that I'm on the couch for the rest of the night. And no, I still haven't cleaned those potties. Maybe tomorrow (it really should be tomorrow because they are getting bad-maybe just don't come and visit us unless you call ahead!)
October 19, 2025-Halloween at Lake Catherine 2025
Robby and I slept in a bit this morning. When we did get out of bed, we immediately got started on packing up to head home. There wasn't anything outside to pack up, but Robby spent a good bit of time cleaning out the tanks and even blew off the roof of the camper. While he was working, I worked on the inside getting things ready to take in the house and straightening and cleaning everything else.
Our drive home would have taken no time at all except that there was a wreck causing us to be delayed for about 45 minutes to an hour. I had my book to listen to so I was fine. Robby said that he watched church while he was waiting in the camper. I knew he had plenty of food plus a bathroom if traffic didn't start moving.
Whitman slept longer than we did because he was just stirring when Robby pulled into the driveway. When I did open the camper door, he had his devices plus his bag of candy-all of the important things.
Graham, Campbell, and Keaton had gone to church and then feasted at Grannymom's house. Even with our delays, we still beat them home. Robby and I pretty much had the camper unloaded by the time that they made it home. Robby then took Keaton and Campbell to babysit for the afternoon. He stayed out and ran some errands.
I stayed home and was busy the entire time. I reloaded the camper and worked around the house trying to get things ready for the next few days. I didn't completely succeed in that, but I have plan at least. Robby and the girls made it home just as I sat down on the couch. I could have still cleaned the potties, but I actually forgot about that-there is always tomorrow.
We all then went to the Wilson's house for our Sunday night supper. It has been awhile since we have all been around for supper so it was nice to visit for a while. We came home, and I folded some laundry before doing the blog. Now, I have to gather more laundry for tonight!
October 18, 2025-Halloween at Lake Catherine 2025
We woke up this morning a little bit bummed because we thought for sure that the trick or treating evening here would be a bust. After I had my bagel-well, wait. The first time I woke up this morning was to make sure that Graham left in time for the ACT this morning. Campbell did her job to double check him, but I would bet that he didn't have any problems getting up to leave. He did actually say that the test was fine, but he wasn't too sure about the math portion.
After we ate our breakfasts, Robby and I went on a walk around the campground. These people continued to put decorations up this morning-Robby wouldn't let me tell them to stop and remind them that it was going to rain. It was like we were the only people in the campground with a weather app.
When we finished our walk, Robby and I left to run to Walmart. Reagan and some friends were coming for supper so we needed some birthday cupcakes. We bought those and some glow sticks before heading back to Lake Catherine.
It was starting to rain by the time that we made it back. The rain stopped some, and we carried on watching football, preparing supper, and just relaxing. I was about to go to sleep when the weather picked up, and there was a tornado warning in Arkadelphia.
Anderson had just gotten off the bus from his trip (He said that he really enjoyed it-the NBA game was his favorite, and the whole trip felt like it was a vacation and not a learning trip. Business wise, he enjoyed the Hobby Lobby headquarters the best.) I think that they were trying to get to the dorms while their sirens were going off.
At one point, I saw on the tv that hail could be up to an inch so I suggested that he go and lay over his car. He told me that they were not letting them out of the dorms. Reagan said that her group had to go downstairs twice this afternoon. I'm fine with all of that since downtown Arkadelphia was destroyed when I was at school there from a tornado.
They got the all clear, and a few minutes later all of our phones went off. We were now in a tornado watch from another storm. Of course, when we are at home, I can look at a map of pulaski county and see some roads and know exactly where we are, but when we are not at home, that is a little harder.
The weather was on, and Robby said that maybe we would have to go to the bathhouse which is just right next to us. When the phones went off, Whitman came down from the top bunk. When we started getting our shoes on and finding Bentley's leash just in case, he started to take note. Storms don't wig him out, and we are super relaxed about things, but this did concern him a bit. After a few minutes, the ranger did drive by with his sirens on so we did take that as our cue to head to the bathhouse.
I believe that this was our 4th tornado in the camper-twice at Degray (on the same trip) and one at Bull Shoals. Bull Shoals was not a tornado but straight line winds. If you remember those winds took out trees by our campsite with trees falling right near our camper. We sent Sophia and Keaton out of the camper and told them to run to the bathhouse while Robby and I had to wait on Whitman to put his shoes on. Huge trees fell all over the campground including right by the sidewalk that we had to run on to get to the bathhouse.
Thankfully, today was nothing like that here at least. It was raining pretty good so we just went inside of the men's restroom. A few other people stood under the awning for a bit, but we didn't want to get too wet. Robby watched the weather while Whitman and I text people and took selfies.
When the weather man gave us the all clear we headed back to the camper. By this time, it was raining so hard, and we were all pretty drenched-though Robby was wearing his new birthday shoes from Nonna, and his feet stayed cozy dry.
I had successfully tracked Anderson back to OBU from Oklahoma, but now Graham and Keaton were driving to pick up supper. It wasn't raining at home so that was good, but Reagan and her friends were driving here to eat supper with us.
I'm going to pause this blog here-an acorn just fell on our roof. Each one that falls sounds like a gun shot-they have been falling all day. However, every time it happens at least one of us jumps, and poor Bentley has not clue what they are and jumps every single time.
When Reagan and her people arrived, the rain had stopped, and we walked around the main loop. For it to have been such a rainy and yucky day, there were still quite a few people walking around. I forgot to take a picture of Whitman, but he opted to be a construction worker this year. He is so polite-he waits patiently in a line letting people go in front of him, and then he always says thank you afterwards.
He managed to get a decent bag full of candy-it is not like trick or treating in Maumelle-but it was a good amount. We even walked back through the campground for him to go through the haunted house. Reagan and her people had already gone through it after taking some pictures by the lake.
For supper, we had a chicken tortellini dish along with salad and bread. We pulled out some cupcakes for Lena's birthday plus, of course, there was candy. We ate inside since we had set nothing up, but the girls visited, and I think that they enjoyed the evening-we certainly did.
We picked up when they left which didn't take long. Then Robby and I climbed into the bed. I have a book that I could read-I finished one yesterday and am doing pretty good on my new one. Plus I'll have a super warm shower later, and maybe tomorrow we will sleep in a little bit!
October 17, 2025-Halloween at Lake Catherine 2025
Robby and I slept in a bit today, but not nearly as long as Whitman. He was asleep still at 1-we had eaten breakfast, walked a few miles, and come back and were being quiet noisy when he finally stirred.
I made Whitman some lunch and after a short nap for Robby and I, we then all went to walk on the nature trail. I was just 5/8 of a mile so we actually did it twice-Whitman was not pleased when I suggested that we do it a third time. We did not, but he would have really liked some ice cream afterwards (that is what we did after walking a trail at Petit Jean.)
Robby and I then set outside and watched all of the happenings. These people keep coming in and setting up Halloween things. That is fun and all, but have these people not watched the weather-it is going to rain, and our Halloween here is going to be a wash out. I hope the rain passes by quickly, but we have set nothing out except for our little door mat-we don't look very festive at all.
On our final walk of the night, we walked over 2 miles. However, the fun part was we found a pop up bakery. We bought a loaf of jalapeno sourdough along with an oatmeal cream pie. It was so fun! We came home and heated up the same soup that we had last night because that would go best with the bread. Then we had the oatmeal cream pie for dessert!
At home, Graham, Campbell, and Keaton went to work today. This was Keaton's 3rd day to go this week to work. When they came home, there were lots of packages for them to open-they even did an unboxing at the doorbell for us.
Reagan was pleased that her friends and she found pickleball courts in Arkadelphia. I figure she will not spend a lot of time there. This is Anderson's 3 day on his freshman business trip-today he toured the OKC memorial and Hobby Lobby headquarters. Tonight he has even gone to an NBA game.
October 16, 2025-Halloween at Lake Catherine 2025
I tried to get up when my alarm went off this morning, but I just can't seem to get up that early anymore. However, I do manage to still get up within just a few minutes of my alarm-I only hit snooze about 3 times.
I went on my walk-since there were quite a few things for me to do today, I thought about just walking 1 mile. But when I finished that first mile, I wasn't near the house so then I couldn't quit with .2 or .4 so I just had to keep walking.
I heard the girls alarm going off when I came in. I then woke up the boys so they could start on their school work. Usually on Thursdays I read with just Whitman, but this morning I just had him do his work I even had him skip his reading and a few short little things (geography, typing...) I guess skipping all of these things worked because by before 12 he was already finished with school.
Graham, Whitman, and I left at noon so we could get them haircuts. Graham is still working on growing his hair out since he shaved it this summer so he needed a trim/reshaping. Whitman's hair just seems to grow quickly so he also needed a trip.
Afterwards, we picked up the girls from Mother's Day Out-they had an early out day. Graham had convinced me to stop at McDonalds on the way home, so I enjoyed being the favorite parent for a little bit.
Once we came home, I gathered a few more things and ate me some lunch. Then Whitman and I left to head to Lake Catherine. It didn't take us long to get here. Robby was in the camper working so we unloaded our things and joined him.
At home, the kids received an invitation from Pops to go out and eat. Of course, they quickly took him up on that. They at at Davids and all enjoyed their food.
Robby, Bentley, and I went on two different walks around the campground this afternoon and evening. It was super pleasant outside-we probably should have been setting up our camping things and our halloween things. However, rain is coming and we will just wait to see when it rains, and that will determine what we get out.
We had potato soup for supper while Whitman opted for leftover pizza. Now, Robby and I are laying in the bed watching football.
October 15, 2025-Halloween at Lake Catherine 2025
Wednesdays can be a busy school day, but today wasn't too bad. I was running a bit behind this morning and then a bit behind working with everyone today, but this year has not nearly been as crazy as last years. I guess people are starting to need me much less during school-really, I'm just the checker-making sure everyone has actually done everything and making sure that they have done it well.
Keaton went to work with the others today. While she was gone, I rushed around doing everything that I could off of my list. Then I worked with Whitman-every day there is spelling and his extra math to do together in the afternoons. We do have it down so it doesn't take too long.
Robby came home around 3, and before long, he and Bentley were headed to Lake Catherine for the weekend. Don't worry, Whitman and I are meeting him there tomorrow. Once he got settled into our spot, he and Bentley took a walk.
Now, we will have to decide tomorrow, but since there is a chance of rain, how much stuff should we set up? Those are some big questions for us to decide tomorrow. Hopefully, the rain that they have called for passes over us.
When everyone came in from work, we soon left for church. I had to stop by the library to turn in some books. Everyone seemed anxious to arrive at church. When we did get there, Graham and I sat in my car for a bit before going in.
After church, we all came home and made supper-Graham heated up a breakfast sandwich, Keaton and Campbell had nuggets, while Whitman and I had eggs in the hole. It was all very good-and I have even had some candy since supper and am debating having myself some hot chocolate too.
October 14, 2025
- Today was another full day of school. We hadn't been working too long when Keaton suggested going to Aldi this afternoon. It didn't take too long for me to agree, and we were soon making plans for the afternoon.
- Whitman did quite a bit of work before lunch, but somehow his afternoon work took super long. He doesn't mind though plus he loves taking his breaks during the day. Everyone else finished before lunch.
- Keaton made fries today for lunch. Yesterday, I made grilled cheese for everyone's lunch so when Graham asked me today what I was making, I assured him that today lunch was on his own.
- Keaton, Campbell, and I went to Alterd State where Campbell bought one sweatshirt, had me buy one for her birthday, and Keaton bought a shirt for only 3 dollars (her shirt was regularly priced 64 so she definitely got a great deal.)
- Then we went to Bath and Body where Keaton bought a candle, and then we stopped at Aldi but kind of didn't really find anything. Campbell did buy us some snacks to snack on while we were shopping.
- We ended up at Walmart where we met Robby. I helped him do some shopping while the girls finished up our shopping list. I think that Campbell would like to help Robby in some of his shopping errands.
- Robby went on to eat with some Sunday School guys while the girls and I headed home. I worked on supper while printing some things. Currently, the girls and I are sitting on the couch watching Dancing with the Stars.
October 13, 2025
The day went fairly well for a Monday morning. I thought that I was on time when I went to wake everyone up, but I had forgotten that Keaton wanted to wake up 30 minutes early plus by the time that I came downstairs I was somehow already behind.
Because we were behind, I did end up skipping one thing this morning during our work together time. That was fine since we are tracking ahead on most things-this is the first year that I have really charted our days and compared that to what we have left to accomplish.
Mid morning Campbell got a text asking Keaton to come to work with them today. I don't think that she was too crazy about going to work, but I think that she enjoyed the day-I know that she will enjoy the paycheck for sure.
Since Graham, Campbell, and Keaton went to work this afternoon it was much quieter than usual. Whitman did his school work and even made some jello. I worked with him and I did manage to mark everything off of my list-but early in the afternoon I was absolutely exhausted. I had to lay down and take myself a short nap. Afterwards, though, I was ready to finish my list.
Robby was gone most of he day, but when he came home he brought home supper for everyone. The boys had burgers while the rest of us had Taco Bell. Campbell finished painting her birthday sign today so she said that she didn't have anything else to do, but thankfully she and everyone else found time to do their chores before we did eat supper.
Now, Robby and I are sitting on the couch watching the news. I have a book that I'm trying to finish so maybe I will do some reading tonight.
October 12, 2025-Maumelle with Rock Creekers
My alarm went off a little bit before 7, and soon after I went ahead and got out of bed. The plan was for me to leave first and take the girls to church because they had to greet at the doors. Robby was going to get ready in the camper and then drive home to ride with the others.
However, he was awake so he just went ahead and pulled out when I did. He and Whitman both got ready at home, and they all left not too long after we arrived home. Robby had Reagan and Anderson drive so they could stop and fill their cars up with gas.
We did the church thing-Campbell greeted at the outside door, Keaton greeted at the sanctuary doors and passed out bulletins, and Graham, Robby, and Keaton passed the offering plate. It was quite busy on our little row.
After church we all went to Nonna and Pops' house for Sunday lunch-Ethan even came too. We ate and didn't stick around too long because we thought everyone was anxious to leave. Robby, Anderson, and I rant to Costco-we bought him a flannel shirt for barn bash along with a few drinks. We thought he was going to leave fairly soon after that, but he ended up staying until 3:30ish or maybe later even.
Reagan and Ethan stayed even longer than that playing Mario Cart with Whitman. After they all left, I tried to do a few things in the house so I didn't even really stop to track them. I did see when they had all made it safely back to school. Anderson had a car full of things to unload-it probably took him 3 trips at least.
Soon Keaton and Robby left for her life group. Robby stayed out running errands while she was there. Then I left with Whitman to take him to his life group. I was almost home when I passed Campbell and Graham headed to church for their dgroups. While everyone was gone, I was home alone and worked in the camper some cleaning it up.
After picking up Whitman, I made it home a few minutes before Campbell and Graham. Then Robby and Keaton came in. Some hadn't had supper so we made a few things-eggs for Graham, nuggets for Campbell, and a pizza for Robby. Now, everyone is in for the night, and they are all grumbling because we have school tomorrow even though it is a holiday of some sort.
October 11, 2025-Maumelle with Rock Creekers
This morning was a little bit earlier than I would have liked-we left the camper at 7:20. We could have slept a bit later, but we had to go home first. Surprisingly, it takes as long to get home as it does to drive to Raymar from Maumelle, so that caused our morning to be earlier.
We had to pick up Keaton from the house. We were about 5 minutes out when I started to text her, and about a minute our when I called. She wrote back that she was up, but she just woke up. We had a few minutes to spare so she had time to get ready without too much rushing. I had time to empty the dishwasher, straighten the living room, and Robby started a load of laundry.
Then we worked the concession stand at Raymar for the last time this season. Keaton had a pajama birthday party this morning/afternoon at a friend's house so Robby took her there. When Whitman and I were finished, Robby picked us up, and we went to Panda and then Kroger.
We then picked Keaton up and dropped her off at home. Then it was back to the camper. We had a bit of down time this afternoon-we were able to watch the ballgame and even do some reading. For supper tonight, the Rock Creek campers had tacos which was super yummy.
Campbell had babysat this morning and afternoon. When Keaton came home from Raymar, she and Reagan went shopping-they both bought the same dress, an then Reagan bought a frame and fabric for a little craft project. The big boys had planned to come to eat at Maumelle tonight, but they ended up playing volleyball with some friends. However, the girls did join us and Whitman at Maumelle tonight for supper.
It has been a busy week, but all things must come to a close so when supper was over tonight, Robby and I had to pick up because we have to hurry home tomorrow to unload this camper and repack it.
October 10, 2025-Maumelle with Rock Creekers
I'm not really sure what all happened at home today; I do know that Campbell and Graham went to work. Anderson worked on finishing his Star Wars helmet. This evening Graham ran 12 miles just for fun.
Whitman was with us so I know exactly what he has done-nothing at all! He has thoroughly enjoyed the day-ipad time and lots of snacks-what is better than that?
Robby and I slept fairly late this morning which was absolutely wonderful. When we did get up, we walked 3.5 miles. We came back and made some sandwiches for lunch. After a little bit, Robby went to run a few errands.
While he was gone, I read some of my book. Then I walked another 3 miles while I was finishing up my audio book. Then I came back and sat down outside and finished the book I have been reading-so it was a very successful afternoon.
This evening we helped Shannon get a few things ready for dinner for 40. We had hamburgers and hot dogs plus some yummy desserts. We took one last walk before it was finally bedtime-tomorrow is an early morning.
October 9, 2025-Maumelle with Rock Creekers
I woke Whitman up early this morning so we would have a few minutes to read before I had to take the girls to Mother's Day Out. Campbell was on her phone when I went to wake everyone up, so I thought that she was awake and woke Keaton up. I can usually hear them above me getting ready and know they are awake, but since they were being quiet because of Reagan sleeping I wasn't positive that they were up.
Plus I had tried to wake up Graham when I woke up Whitman, but I wasn't too sure that he was awake either since I was trying to not wake up Anderson. He did text me before I left to confirm that he was indeed awake.
Whitman went to town on his school while I was dropping off the girls. He actually finished everything but one thing today even though I was gone most of the afternoon. He usually needs someone to keep him on track.
Graham did most of his things, but he still had a bit more this afternoon that he said he would do tonight or possibly tomorrow...It will probably get done on Monday when I'm back which is fine. I was able to get everyone's school ready for next week.
It was pretty chilly this morning so I even took some time and had myself a cup of hot chocolate. It was wonderful. I then a bit later had a big bowl of warm soup-also wonderful. Anderson and I went to get his hair cut this afternoon.
Then we stopped at Walmart and bought a few things for him-granola bars, pop tarts, chips, and even some candy (I'm a softee); a few things for Reagan-shampoo, cough drops, candy, and chocolate covered pretzels; and a few things for Keaton-a package of cups, creamer, and candy for a friend. I didn't get anything for poor Graham, Campbell, or Whitman-maybe the next time I go to the store.
After Walmart, we drove to Costco so we could look at computers there for Anderson. There were a few choices, and we were mainly trying to figure out what size he would like. After we did that, we met Robby back at the house-he had picked up sonic and the girls.
We were at home for a bit, and then Robby, Whitman, Bentley, and I headed to Maumelle Park for the rest of the week. Robby has been here the last few nights, but tonight we joined him. We unloaded, and then went to the Wilson's camper. Tony made supper for everyone, and we stayed out visiting until fairly late.
After walking the dogs, we came in the camper for the evening. All my kids had a busy evening-Whitman enjoyed having the camper to himself while everyone else was not here. Reagan went to church tonight, while Campbell and Keaton were there too working. Nonna and Pops had to take them home and even stopped at ChickFilA on the way home. Graham and Anderson played volleyball with their friends, so a busy night was had by all.
October 8, 2025
- This has been a super fun day-we did our school work this morning, and my list was so long that I even cut short our reading time (I never do that because my morning reading time with now only Keaton and Whitman is my favorite part of the day.)
- School went fine today-It is always nice on Wednesdays when Campbell and Keaton are finishing everything up. I love getting things marked off and put away for the week.
- Campbell and Graham went to work this afternoon-they were briefly locked out of the building, but then everyone came back and unlocked the building so they were able to start work.
- Meanwhile back at the house, Whitman and I finished his school work, and I got ready for church. I tried to straighten a bit, but really, I wasn't motivated to do too much.
- It was fun day because Reagan and Anderson came home for fall break. As soon as they came home, they unloaded their stuff, and then Anderson went right to his new car. He spent a good deal of time getting everything fixed and even did some more cleaning on it.
- Reagan decided that she wanted to go to church tonight with us so she joined me at the desk. Graham and Campbell went to Fields of Faith tonight, and Anderson stayed at home.
- I have heard so much information about Ouachita and am now caught up on every aspect of college life-and have absolutely loved it!
October 7, 2025
- We did school this morning which didn't take too long for most of the kids. Graham has been doing lots of Spanish every day for his class though I'm not sure that he is fluent yet. He is working hard, but being fluent in Spanish would take another couple of years.
- Campbell seems to finish her school work quickly each day, but there are still two things that I need to add for her-one of those is Spanish (she actually to asked for real Spanish and not just duolingo). Reagan has been doing duolingo for almost a thousand days without any breaks. I'm not sure how fluent she feels in Spanish though. I guess I will have to find out.
- This afternoon went by pretty quickly. Keaton tried to take her driving test again, and dadgumit, that girl got to the last question again which means if she had just gotten on more right she would have passed. When she came home, she took 5 practice tests and sent me the score-all 100%. I'm not worried at all and know that she will pass next time....or the next.
- Robby and the camper went out to Maumelle Park this afternoon to join the Wilsons and some of the Rock Creek Campers. I took a car to him, and we picked up some groceries on the way home. Campbell mentioned making potato soup for supper tonight so I bought some potatoes for her. (We already have potato soup leftovers in the fridge, but now we have more.)
- She said that she probably would not make that recipe again because it took a long time, but I think that it was pretty good. I had class meeting tonight so I wasn't there to have Campbell's soup-actually, I had potato soup at the restaurant that I was at.
- Campbell and Keaton have been pretty bored this evening-there have drawn with chalk, washed each other's hair in the sink, and even watched a tv show together. Graham had his ACT class tonight-so far, he isn't too big of a fan, but we will see after the test.
October 6, 2025
- This Monday morning was full of school for everyone here. I was awake late last night trying to figure out how everyone was going to finish everything that they need to do this year-mainly Graham trying to squeeze in a few more ACTs plus a couple of CLEP tests. Plus I'm trying to have Campbell do as much as she can now, so she won't be scrambling trying to do everything her senior year.
- I was still able to sleep some after making a few mental lists, and I know that we will get it all done eventually. I did finish one book that I am reading to Whitman and Keaton-but there are 7 more in the series, but I'll celebrate every accomplishment.
- Graham and Campbell had work this afternoon while Whitman had a few more school things to finish up. I spent a good deal of time this afternoon and this evening finishing up my blanket. I just checked and I ordered my yarn March 28 so I guess that I have been working on my crocheting project for 6 months-plus I know that has been a lot of hours I have worked too.
- I ran to Nonna and Pops' house for a little bit to do some computer repair. Actually, it was just luck that I was able to fix it. I should have brought one of the kids-any of the kids, and they would have had a better clue on what to do than me-but I got it done!
- Robby made it home around 6 with supper for everyone. We all ate, and then people settled in for the evening. I think that Campbell and Whitman had a few chores to do this evening, but other than that not much happened here after 7.
October 5, 2025-Homecoming Camping 2025
Last night I left off with Graham at Ouachita celebrating Homecoming and the end of Tiger Tunes. He said that he found Reagan and Anderson briefly. He also found some other buddies and enjoyed some root beer before heading back to the campground.
I had warned him about police out late at night, and he came in saying that he saw quite a few. I guess he made it home around 1ish, so it was an early morning for him when I started waking everyone up at 7. Campbell and Keaton really wanted to go to church this morning so Graham took them.
This was just his second time to drive that far on the interstate, but I guess that he did good-he made it safely and on time. This was homecoming weekend at home too so the kids thought that they would not have many buddies at church, but they were glad that most of their people were there.
After church they went to Grannymom's house to eat lunch. While they were at church, Robby and I started cleaning the camper and loading up the outside things. He is headed to Maumelle Park on Tuesday so it is a quick turn around. I had everything in the camper organized and ready to go in the house and then joined him to work on the outside things.
I'm not even sure what time we left the campground, but we pulled in the driveway just a few minutes before the kids arrived home from Grannymom's house. They all offered to help unload, but we had done most things already. Whitman, who stayed with us and skipped church, wanted to wait until everyone joined us to unload, but I talked him out of it.
It took a bit of time to get everything out of the camper, and it is after 7 now, and I'm still doing laundry. However, we are just about ready for the camper to leave again. My laundry is just down to one load in the wash and one in the dryer so I'm doing good-bringing all of the kids (well, at least the 4 who are at home) camping creates a lot of laundry.
Keaton, Campbell, and Graham all had naps this afternoon. Campbell did wake up in time to go to the U tonight at Rock Creek. Robby took her there, and I stayed home and kept the laundry moving. Keaton and I had potato soup leftovers for supper, and now I'm trying to work on my tomorrow's list of things to do!
October 4, 2025-Homecoming Camping 2025
We began this morning with breakfast with the Wilsons. Tony had made french toast and bacon, and Robby had made pancakes and sausage. I contributed with heating up more pigs in a blanket. We feasted well for breakfast.
Soon it was time to head to the Ouachita homecoming game. The game began at noon, and the seats that we found were nice and shady...until about the time that the game started. We knew this was going to happen, but there was no preventing it.
We looked for Reagan but tracked her and saw that she never made it to the game. She had to work a tea at 8 in the morning, so I guess that she was worn out. We did find Anderson during the game and enjoyed watching him.
The hogs were up at half time, and the sun was shining on us, so after watching one more series, we followed the crowd and left the stadium. We said bye to Anderson on our way out and headed to the campsite.
We had about 2 hours where we didn't have anything to do-it was very nice. I read until I decided that a short nap in the hammock would be nice-and it was wonderful. I snoozed for about an hour in the hammock.
Tony made quesadillas for supper, and I contributed cheese dip, chips, and corn. It was all delicious. After supper was cleaned up, we huddled around the tv by the campfire and watched the last Tiger Tunes show. I had hoped that we could see Reagan or Anderson a little bitter. Some folks thought they could see them briefly, but I never really did.
We did get to watch the overall awards-Reagan's EEEs might have been a little short changed because they only received 4th place. However, Anderson's Campus Ministries group ended up winning first place. (This is big since it is mostly freshman in the group.)
There was much cheering here for them, plus we could tell from the live stream that there was much cheering there as well. I'm sure that party will last for quite a while-Graham even went to the campus to join in on the celebrations for a little bit.
We cleaned up a little bit outside, but Robby and I didn't do our usual 'take everything down the night before we leave' gig. We left it up and will deal with everything in the morning. We have to make sure that the kids get off in time for church so we will be up early (unless we go back to sleep.)
October 3, 2025-Homecoming Camping 2025
This was a pretty busy camping day. Robby and I woke up before everyone else and went outside. Shannon was walking Annie so Bentley and I joined for a little bit. After our walk, Robby was already making Keaton pancakes for her breakfast. I pulled up everything for egg in the hole, and Robby started on making those.
I do think that there is nothing better than a camping breakfast-well, maybe a camping breakfast that you do not have to help cook. But other than that, you can't go wrong with a breakfast at the campground. Our fire was still smoking this morning which made everything that much better. (It was actually still smoking at supper time.)
When we cleaned up breakfast, we had a little bit of time to sit around. Then we loaded up and went to campus to see the kids. It was very festive around campus, and everyone was outside. We quickly found Reagan, then Anderson. Plus we also found Ethan and Brett. We were able to take a few family pictures with all of the college kids.
We even took Bentley, and she certainly enjoyed all of the excitement. I'm not sure if she really cared anything about seeing Reagan or Anderson, but she did get lots of extra pets from people around. I picked up Graham's new shirt from the book store and Keaton found one on the clearance rack.
When we left campus, we stopped at Sonic to redeem our missed drinks from last night. Then it was on to Walmart. I needed bowls for tonight, plus Robby wanted to check on any OBU shirts there. Campbell, Robby, and Whitman ended up with a shirt.
When we came home from Walmart, I read for a few minutes, and then Tony and Shannon came over to visit for a while. Soon Nonna, Pops, Jason, and Grannymom arrived. Robby and I had made soup earlier in the day, and it was pretty warm still when we served it! (scalding hot!)
Not only did we have potato soup, but we also had all the crackers, corn muffins, and pigs in a blanket. I think that we were all full; however, when we came home tonight after the show, my crew must have been famished because we all went to town on the snacks.
After we all finished supper, we cleaned up and headed to Ouachita around 6:30. We arrived just as they opened the doors to the auditorium. We had the sames seats as last year which were very good. Reagan's group, the golfing EEEs, went first. They did very good, but didn't win any awards tonight. Anderson's group was the first one after intermission, the dogs of Campus Minstries, and his group won two awards tonight.
The show was much better than last years-or maybe I enjoyed it more because we had two kids in it-though I never saw Reagan during the EEE's performance, and I only saw Anderson for about 5 seconds at the end of his performance.
We did, however, see them afterwards. We were able to see Reagan and Anderson-they both came to visit with us. It sounded like they had a long evening ahead of them-a cook out and then watching someone get their head shaved.
After all of our snacks back at the camper, we started getting the beds ready. The kids did most of it themselves, but for some reason Bentley has come back to our bed tonight, and she is laying all up in Robby's spot! Maybe one of the kids will coax her to sleep with them!
October 2, 2025-Homecoming Camping 2025
Keaton and Campbell left first this morning for work at Mother's Day Out. That just left Whitman, Graham, and I at home. I tried to encourage Whitman to take less breaks this morning, and he listened.
He actually finished everything by 1:30 today which included a 10 minute break and lunch. Now, I did let him skip one thing plus we didn't do all of our together work (probably would be an hour total but we split it up). I was glad to know that he can get his school work done in a timely manner.
I spent the morning making cornbread and pigs in a blanket plus trying to get school ready for next week. It was a pretty busy morning, but I was able to finish all of the most important things on my list-well, I did want to walk one more mile this afternoon but didn't get to it.
Whitman, Robby, and Bentley headed towards Lake Degray around 1:45. I was not too far behind them since Graham and I picked up the girls. I had intended to listen to my book on the way here. However, the kids are always pretty chatty in the car which I love. So instead of listening to my book, I just listened to them.
Robby had already parked and was setting up when we arrived. We drug a few things out, and then even set the tent up. We used to think that 3 nights was the perfect camping length-now, it think that is just way too short.
Unfortunately, this is only 3 nights; however, we have already had a good time. We sat outside this afternoon for a good while. I read some-I now have a real book to read and a book on my kindle to read-but I have been in a reading slump lately-maybe camping will help.
Shannon and Tony made supper tonight-grilled sandwiches. As soon as they ate, the hurried on the Tiger Tunes. Robby and I walked a mile and a half while Graham ran 2 and a half miles. He showered, and we hung his clothes outside.
Robby and I sat outside for a bit, but the bugs started to get bad so Robby lit a fire. It was perfect-the kids came outside and made s'mores, and the fire was cozy. We picked up Shannon from Ouachita plus we intended to go to Sonic on the way, but it was closed. Robby pulled into a gas station, and by the time that they got in line, it was to the back of the store. I just sat in the car laughing at the long line.
When we came back, we walked Annie and Bentley one last time before calling it a night. On our walk, Anderson did write to tell me that he made a 97 on his map test-even when I was at OBU everyone had to take Contemporary World where you had to take a map test naming every country in the world possibly plus other things as well. I was glad to hear that he did well on it-and that he thought about telling me!
October 1, 2025
- We did the school thing this morning, and today was one of those days that I had so many things to do, it was almost like I couldn't decide what to do next so I didn't do anything. I did finally mark most of the important things off of the list, but I did feel pretty scattered all day long.
- Campbell and Graham had work this afternoon, and Keaton and I had a little trip-to take her permit test. That girl got to the 25th question-which means that if she had guessed right on it then she would have passed.
- Thankfully, she took it well, and we have already scheduled her re test next week. Hopefully, she will get easier questions and guess better. We made it home, and both of us had a few things to do before it was time for church.
- Keaton and I left first-we had to stop at Nonna and Pops' house to borrow her crockpot and then a stop at the library. We made it to church just as Graham, Campbell, and Whitman arrived. When church was over, everyone but Whitman and I went to ChickFilA. Poor Whitman was really checking his chickfila app to make sure that he didn't have anything free tonight.
- I did make him a pizza when we came home. Robby made a stop at Chilis on his way home so we split some Southwest eggrolls for our supper.
