  • Campbell and Keaton were off to Mother's Day Out this morning while that just left Graham, Whitman, and I at home working on school. Graham turned in an essay and worked on Spanish while Whitman steadily marked off his list of things to do.
  • I thought that I would be able to do a few more things this morning since neither of the boys need me that much, but I kept getting distracted by Whitman. If I am near him, then he can fly through most things-we even set a timer today for 10 minutes, and he zoomed through half of his math in that time.
  • I took my second walk with Bentley this afternoon-some days she is a good walker, but most days she is not. We barely made it down the driveway before I decided that I was ready to take her back to the house. I know she won't learn unless we practice, but really, does she even need to walk? I think she will be just fine sitting in her chair and looking out the window all day long.
  • I picked up Keaton and Campbell from work. They weren't too pleased about us going to Walmart on the way home until I told them that they could buy a few school supplies.
  • My main goal at Walmart was to buy a few things to send to Anderson. When we were visiting him this Tuesday, he mentioned that last year Reagan had received a lot more packages from us than he has. I took that comment as a challenge so his next box will be mailed Saturday, but I did get it all ready today.
  • Today was Keaton's turn to cook. She made Dorito chicken casserole along with salad and garlic bread. Whitman has already picked his meal for next week, so our kids cooking each week is going well. Though I'm worried how it will work next month when we are out of town almost half of the time.
  • After we ate, everyone migrated to their spots-Robby and I on the couch, Whitman in the bonus room, Keaton and Campbell in their room, and Graham in his room. I'm already pretty cozy on this couch so it may be difficult to get up in a little bit to make some bread for Whitman.
