Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Graham waking up in the middle of the night at the exact same time that Campbell woke up.  They must have planned it-and both demanded milk!  Campbell went right back to sleep but Graham wanted to sleep with Mom and Dad and tossed and turned and tossed and turned until they kicked him out
  • When Dad left for work, he told Anderson that he only had one more day of work.  Dad meant for the week but Anderson ran to find Mom and told her “Dad only has one more day of work”-aww, he thought Dad was going to be done with work for good!
  • A fairly lazy morning but for some reason Anderson has a very hard time getting ready on Friday mornings.  His meltdown was started because he wanted to wear Graham’s crane shirt and not his dinosaur shirt.
  • Breakfast and then playing before picking up Dad for the library.  Story time today was about pirates so the kids loved it.  Mom even remembered her library card and we checked out a few books after story time-but this did mean that Dad had to walk back to work
  • Coming home and Mom fixing us our lunch in muffin tins (she only has the 12 muffin tins and can’t find the 6)  We had something different in each tin-Mom must have been really bored….or maybe she just wanted to keep us out of the kitchen longer
  • Afternoon naps and then everyone waking up at about the same time and we were all very needy (even Campbell which is strange).  Mom was trying to run on the treadmill and it took her one hour and 45 minutes to run only 45 minutes worth.
  • Dad coming home and taking everyone out to eat.  Then we played at Fellowship for a little bit but we had to leave since kids from church were coming out to play
  • Reagan and Anderson are watching a movie upstairs and Dad is keeping Graham busy by having him take slips of paper to Reagan and Anderson.  How long will this game last?  Hopefully, it will last until bedtime and tire him out!

Check It Out

Tara has a post at Arkansas Women Bloggers.  It is about traveling with the kids.  You may have read it before.  And look how Graham has changed-that picture was in September only 9 months ago.  Click here to see it.

  • Anderson waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and as he got back into bed, he told Mom that he didn’t want to sleep with “that noisy truck”-it must have really been noisy for him not to want it in bed with him
  • Everyone sleeping in for school but as soon as all were up and getting ready, Mom walked in the bathroom to see Graham holding the hair dryer like a gun and saying “shoot shoot shoot”-where does this come from?
  • Dad dropping everyone off at school and he said things went a little better with Graham-not good yet but better
  • Anderson and Reagan having cupcakes at school for someone’s birthday and everyone seeing Graham at the gym.  Mom asked Reagan how long Graham cried today and she said “maybe 1 minute, or maybe 2 minutes, I don’t know, I can’t tell time”
  • Campbell spending some of the morning with Nonna and then Mom and Nonna went shopping leaving Campbell with Pops-and they had a big ole time.  They went to Beebees, drove to the hospital, back home again and had a few bottles and a jar of food for lunch
  • Nonna and Mom picking everyone up from school.  One of Graham’s teachers said he was very good today and the other one said that he wasn’t that good.  Well, let’s just say things got even more interesting next-one of the teachers tripped and fell down (she is old and probably broke something)
  • Eating pudding at Nonna’s house.  Reagan said she didn’t want it and then Graham said “don’t like it”-hmm, think he learned that from his sister.  Actually, he didn’t eat much for the rest of the day (even spit out his cheese at supper).
  • Coming home and reading some of Reagan’s magazine, playing outside and then playing with trains until Dad came home.  Mom spent time working with Campbell-she is on the verge of sitting up all by herself
  • Supper out with Dad and then coming home to watch the rest of our Aladdin movie.  They were all scared tonight but at the end Reagan was jumping up and down and started dancing!  This led to a dance party before bed-Mom wished it could have lasted all night long
  • Graham might have had some fever before bed but he did eat some cereal and drink his milk.  At bed, Anderson asked about when it was going to snow and Reagan becomes chatty cathy and wanted to talk and talk about everything

  • The morning started out with Dad hiding out in Anderson’s bed and Mom was hiding out in her bed-it didn’t last for long!
  • Campbell and Mom were the only ones who changed out of their pajamas-and they almost didn’t have time since Anderson kept saying that he was starving and wanted to go downstairs and eat!
  • Anderson finally getting to eat 2 waffles, Graham had 1, Reagan had strawberries and Campbell ate her cereal until she finished the bowl and then turned red faced and screamed at Mom
  • Painting our letter D-Mom gave everyone a choice between a dinosaur and duck-so Reagan picked a dog!
  • Nonna coming over to play with everyone for a few minutes.  While she was there, Anderson took one of Reagan’s toys and she just went plain nuts.  This set off a long tantrum which resulted in her going to bed early tonight
  • Everyone eating most of Nonna’s lunch.  When Mom was cleaning later, she did find Graham’s apples that he had put under his booster-sneaky little fellow
  • Dad stopping by for a little bit and then a movie before naptime.  Graham fell asleep in Mom’s lap he was so sleepy
  • Afternoon naps-Reagan fell asleep today but it was only for 40 minutes.  Not long enough for Mom to finish her work and get to sleep too!
  • Reagan eating candy and keeping Campbell company while she slept on the couch.  Graham waking up next and drinking his milk followed by Anderson who also wanted his milk.  When he had his, Graham decided that he needed some and he brought Reagan some milk along with Campbell a bottle
  • Mom reading Anderson’s magazine to everyone and then Reagan and Anderson working on their Book About Me.  Mom was pulling out all of the stops and let them write on the front glass door!
  • Supper and then Dad coming home.  Mom was still feeding Campbell when Dad came in-she had already eating a jar of food and was working on her next.  When Mom finished that, she again turned red and screamed at Mom!
  • More playing in the den-everyone was quiet surprisingly.  Graham and Dad even took a trip to the bank and to get gas.  Anderson and Reagan watched some of Aladdin-it scared them to pieces.  Campbell laid on the couch while Mom was sitting beside her and all she would do was kick Mom and turn around on the couch
  • Bedtime and surprisingly Graham didn’t even cry tonight, Reagan has only called us up there once, we haven’t heard Anderson’s noisy truck that he went to bed with and Campbell is already in her bed and not laying on the couch between Mom and Dad

  • Dad chickened out and had Mom take the kids to school this morning.  Graham didn’t do very well but he could have done worse.  Mom did have to shove him in the room while she closed the door.  Reagan was holding his foxy today so maybe that calmed him down eventually
  • Anderson working on the letter O at school, Reagan did the letter W and Graham painted the ocean.  It sounded like they had an okay day.
  • Campbell spent the day at Grannymom and Grandpa’s house and she missed her brothers and sister today.  Once they arrived she was as happy as she could be
  • Reagan working on her “collection” box while the boys played with their trucks from Nonna.
  • Making pretzels dipped in chocolate and sprinkles-Reagan saw it on the front of her and Mom’s new cookbook and wanted to do it.  We didn’t have big pretzels so Reagan decided that the little ones would work
  • Playing outside for a few minutes.  Mom sat Campbell down on the glider and as Mom was trying to sit down too, she let Campbell bump her head-and she was very unhappy with Mom.  Campbell did eventually calm down and enjoyed swinging
  • Reading a book, playing ball, watching Mom juggle and playing legos until Dad came home
  • Supper and then eating our pretzels.  Running to Sam’s to pick up some milk-only 5 gallons needed today!  Ha!  We were completely out and had to get some tonight or we would have very cranky boys in the morning

  • The day after the holiday caused everyone to sleep in-Graham even slept until 9
  • Once everyone was up and stirring, the kids all came downstairs.  Anderson was very interested to hear why there was a fan blowing on the floor (air conditioner leak) and Graham kept pointing at the closed window curtain (air conditioner leak meant no air last night)
  • Breakfast (something different for all 4), stories, playtime-the favorite toy now is Lightening McQueen cars again, clothes and playing outside for a few minutes
  • Going to Grannymom’s house to watch Dad and Grandpa work on Grandpa’s new tv.  While we were there, we ate ice cream and popsicles along with a little bit of lunch.  Both boys painted rocks, Anderson painted a bank and Reagan painted a container to put her rock collection in while Campbell hung out with Grandpa
  • Graham opted to go with Dad (and Mom) to eat lunch.  He was as happy as he could be being by himself.  He grinned and teased and convinced Mom and Dad that he would really enjoy being an only child!
  • Naps for everyone back at home and then Reagan and Anderson played a game with Mom until the babies woke up
  • Eating supper with Nonna and Pops-they are finally back from their trip.  When Mom told Anderson they were home, he said “oh, good” in a relieved voice
  • After supper, the kids picked tomatoes (which they don’t like), cucumbers (which they don’t like) and peppers (which they also don’t like).  Mom was going to try to do something with them so they could try them-but she left them at Nonna’s house (oh well!)
  • A short movie before bed and then bedtime-Reagan tried to convince Mom that she could sleep with Anderson’s bear and Graham screamed and screamed until he fell asleep.  He has gotten worse at school and still screams at church and now is pretty attached to Dad at home too.  Mom even had to peek in and make sure that his fit throwing hadn’t broken his crib!

Monday Confessions

So I thought that I would add a little something new and decided on starting Monday Confessions.  I will see how long we can keep this up and think up something to confess!  I want to try to write something that most people don’t know about one or all of us each week.  So here goes:

My first confession is that I can be quite obsessive.  The picture shows a few tubes of toothpaste (our stockpile is down some) and shows 1/2 of our soap stock.  Yes, I have acquired over 50 full size bars of soap.  And that is not even counting the bag of hotel soap that we have collected-and we do take the hotel soap each and every time.  I used to laugh at my Mom’s pile of hotel soap and now I am doing the same thing.  Anyway, I have also obsessively collected 20+ bottles and shampoo and that many bottles of hand soap (cleanliness if next to godliness they say).  My collection of coupon-found toiletries was at once so great that a bathroom shelf was about to come crashing down!  And I won’t even mention the 5 foot wall of diapers that I have in the garage!
