Dennie Kids: November 6, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

  • Dad wanted to take everyone for donuts this morning but the kids revolted and decided that they wanted to stay at home in their pajamas-so Dad went for donuts and brought them back
  • After donuts, Mom went out to do a little Christmas shopping while everyone else stayed at home and made the “tallest tower ever.  It was as tall as Dad -- or at least that is what they said.
  • The mission today was to play with every toy in the den and the kids did pretty good at it.  They actually played together eerily well.  For at least an hour this morning, Reagan, Anderson and Graham were playing happily while Campbell was sitting and playing nearby
  • Jelly toast sandwiches for lunch and then more playing until naptime.  After nap, it was movies and candy until supper.  After supper, we spent most of our time in the garage playing ball, riding bikes, running and doing “tricks” with the broom.  Campbell loves it out there (though she must have wanted to get in the car because she kept trying to pull up on it)
  • Reading stories before bed and then listening to one on CD.  Someone turned the CD player up too loud and Mom questioned the guilty parties-Anderson pointed at Reagan, Reagan pointed at Graham and then Mom remembered that Graham had been with her-Reagan got into trouble when she finally admitted it.  Dad told her if she disobeys again, she will not get to wear a dress next Sunday-oh, how horrible that would be!
  • At night, Graham usually fusses a little and when he gets to upset or noisy Mom or Dad go upstairs.  Tonight when Mom went upstairs, Graham was quite shaken up and was holding Spiderman.  Spiderman’s batteries must have gone down because all he was doing was making a hissing sound constantly.  It was kind of spooky-Mom changed the batteries and Graham and Spiderman were able to rest
