Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)

(from the archives, click on day:  2009 (day 1) (day 2), 2008 (day 1) (day 2)

  • After we had closed up the computer last night and laid our heads down, we looked over and Anderson had taken off his pajamas and was sitting up in his  underwear.  He was hot-I did finally talk him into putting them back on
  • Campbell waking up around 11 and then would fuss each time Mom tried to lay back down so she snuggled between Mom and Dad all night.  Everyone had on their warm feetsy pajamas and lots of blankets and we definitely needed them.  It was quite chilly in the tent-each time Mom and Dad would wake in the middle of the night, they would make the rounds co
    vering everyone up
  • Dad’s alarm (he forgot to turn it off!) went off at 7 and started waking everyone up even though Mom tried her best to get over there and turn it off (but it is a big tent).  Campbell woke up and then Anderson started playing peek a boo with her.  Graham was next followed by Reagan.  We changed clothes-even put on her shorts since it was cooler in the tent than it was outside!
  • Driving to the bathroom-we didn’t walk cause we really had to go!  Then eating donuts-we finished off 2 bags of donuts.  The kids loved the powdered donuts.  Graham probably ate 10!
  • Loading up our stuff and taking down the tent.  Then we played our ball game (don’t know what it is called) but they really enjoyed it.  Next was a walk down by the river and then we came back and got in the car.  As we were loading up, we realized we didn’t have Campbell’s paci s
o we retraced our walk and still couldn’t find it.  Reagan and Graham were quite worried about it and couldn’t stop talking about it.  (Mom has a spare)
  • Coming home and unloading.  Then we had leftover hot dogs followed by lots of playing and then naps.  They were all very tired and slept until 5.  As soon as the game was over, we all left for supper
  • Supper out and the kids were disappointed that our pizza place didn’t have a game room but they devoured their pizza and were delighted when the waitress gave them cookies!
  • When we made it home, Reagan, Anderson and Graham played so well together that Mom and Dad let them stay up way to late.
