Making WAFFLES!
Highlights from today: (Click here for pictures)
  • A few days ago, the girls and I were laying in my bed.  Reagan had her taggie,Campbell had hers and I told Reagan that I wished Keaton had a taggie as well.  Reagan hopped up and ran upstairs.  She came back down with her spare taggie and gave it to Keaton.  Keaton is at the point where she will hold on to things (mostly material).  When Reagan was a baby she became sick one night and taggie (along with her sheets) needed to be washed.  I grabbed a taggie for her from my gift stash-it was similar but had a pink instead of yellow back-it got her through the night but  has become one of her dolls taggies and not as beloved as her yellow one.  All that to say, it was so sweet of Reagan to think of her taggie and give it to her baby sister.  And I think Keaton likes it-she will hold it for the longest time.
  • Anderson went to school today.  This is what he reported: they didn't go outside today because it was raining, they had a fire drill and got wet and tomorrow they are to bring an umbrella to school.   Funny since it didn't rain here-all of this from the same child that told us that Ms. Wendolyn would take a nap during school everyday.
  • We did school at home and Campbell worked for the longest time taking rocks out of a box and then putting them back in.  Graham did his work standing in the windowsill and had his paper on the window and worked on it there.  Keaton sat in her bumbo and watched all of the action (she is now very aware of being left alone and will let you know that she is not happy about it).  Reagan breezed though her work since this is our last real week of work before a special few things next week and then a week break.
  • Before too long Robby and Anderson were home and we had our lunch.  Then we played Anderson's new Operation game.  Graham actually spent most of the morning playing with the motorcycle track-they would race, then crash, the ambulance and firetruck would have to come.  It is funny because they are playing only with the new toys right now (wonder if I could sneak some old ones away).
  • Let's see-the afternoon consisted of naps for Campbell and Keaton, cutting everyone's fingernails, a movie for the big 3 and then playing outside when the neighbor girl came over.  Oh, yes, and when Reagan came in she asked "what is spin the bottle?"  Apparently, neighbor girl (8 or 9) played that with her boyfriend and you need 2 girls and 2 boys and you have to kiss.   I said I had never heard of that and Reagan said "anyway, she is too young to be kissing anybody."  I wholeheartedly agreed and then told them they can't go outside anymore.
  • Other highlights-the kids like to play spy and sneak around and follow me.  Anderson was hiding in the bathroom watching me so I jumped out at him and growled.  He fell to the ground, crawled out of the room and then cried on the couch for at least 10 minutes.  I felt a bit bad but not that bad-got to toughen him up.  And it is a good thing that Robby bought all of the toilet paper that he did because I caught Campbell getting some for her runny nose today and she apparently needed to get the few pieces that were at the end of the roll-at least she didn't try to put it all in the potty.
  • Waffles and lots of fruit for supper and then the kids were delighted to see that Robby had put up the blow up Santa and blow up Thomas Train.  Santa is out by the chimney and the train is outside of the kitchen window-I tell you, it is great to be a Dennie kid.  We then watched a Curious George, pulled out Santa, did airplane and sent everyone to bed.
