He's checking his list...who's been
naughty or nice?
Highlights from today: (Click here for pictures)
  • Fairly uneventful morning around here.  We scrambled and everyone left on time-Graham couldn't get out the door fast enough because he was the snack helper.  The snack helper gets to help pass out the snack and have a special napkin.  Very big job.
  • I dropped the girls off at Grannymom's house and Reagan went right to work on her math and even made her ornament.  As we were leaving the house, she told me that she wanted to take her money so Grannymom could take her Christmas shopping (she went yesterday with Nonna).  I tried to explain to her that we would go later in the week and shop some more.  This didn't satisfy her so that is when I grabbed the ornament for her to take to work on so maybe she would forget about shopping.
  • Robby picked up the boys and they went to Grannymom's house for lunch with the girls.  I had a doctors appointment.  Keaton hadn't been too satisfied today but was snoozing with Grandpa when I came to get everyone.  She wasn't too satisfied at home today until I just laid her in the floor in the chaotic schoolroom and she slept...well, she slept like a baby.
  • I read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids and a few minutes later, I saw Graham looking at the fireplace.  He asked "is this the chimney?"  I said that it was and then he stuck his head inside the fireplace to look up.  He asked if Santa could get down that hole and then after a few more minutes of thinking, he asked how Santa could get back UP that chimney.  This has never even crossed Reagan and Anderson's minds to ask this.
  • At supper, we told the kids they had to eat 1 (just one) cocktail wienie to get their cupcake.  Graham gobbled his down and Anderson didn't want to but he eventually choked down one.  Reagan moaned, groaned and almost missed dessert time but did happily show us her empty plate at the last minute and started to eat her cupcake.  I started sweeping the floor and noticed a few things on the floor.  I said "Reagan?" and just looked at her.  I didn't say anything else and she started crying saying "their not mine. I didn't do it.  My tummy hurt."  Needless to say, she quickly lost the rest of her cupcake, no airplane tonight and no sweets tomorrow.
  • Well, this sent Reagan over the edge.  By now the boys were in the bath upstairs and Campbell was trying her best to get Reagan to get in the bath tub with her downstairs.  Sweet Campbell was all up in Reagan's face saying "what wrong, rearea?"  Then she just put her arms around her (I thought to hug her) but her intent was the pick Reagan up and carry her to the bathtub.
  • Graham lost his airplane privileges during bathtime and when Campbell and Anderson were having their airplane rides, I overheard Reagan asking Graham what he got in trouble for.  Then he asked her why she couldn't do the airplane.  It just reminded me to two prison inmates asking each other what they were in for.
  •  We put everyone to bed and I was straightening their bathroom and Robby was still standing by their bedroom door.  We heard Reagan shout "NO SIR."  Apparently Anderson had thrown Graham's foxy and Reagan was reprimanding him.  Robby came in and said something to Anderson.  Anderson then asked "Do you know everything?"
  • Keaton is sleeping soundly in the swing in our room.  I am guessing that I have about 25 minutes before she wakes up.  She usually starts screaming when we walk down the steps from tucking the others in bed.  The other day in the blog, I said that I felt like she was getting on some type of schedule...I take that back.
