10 Grandkids @
Grannymom & Grandpa's!
Highlights from today: (Click here for pictures)
  • Since it was time change Sunday, you would have thought that we would have been on time.  But we were later than we have ever been before-we sat down as the sermon started.  Eeek!  We left on time but the 25 minute wait at Sonic was just too long.
  • So we sat in the balcony and it was like we were at a different church.  Usually, when church is over we just sat around for a few minutes (no hurry since it is so crowded) This must really irk Anderson who today shouted in an exasperated voice "why do we always do this?"
  • We were in Campbell's class during worship care and she is a hoot with that big grin.  I guess since we were the teachers she thought she was too-tickling kids when Robby was tickling them, climbing on the changing table to watch me change others, pushing kids out the door when their moms came.
  • Meanwhile, Anderson's class was talking about ways to help and making a chore bag.  Anderson told his teachers that he didn't need any more chores.
  • Josh, Zach and Jenna were all in town for lunch so their were lots of grandkids running around.  I guess since their were so many kids, Anderson thought he could get some extra drink.  He asked if he could have some more.  I told him during dessert he could.  He told me that he would ask Grandpa and I said no, he could have some at dessert and Grandpa wasn't going to get him any either.  He then told me "These are Grandpa's cups."
  • After a game or two of tag in Grannymom's back yard, we headed home for more yard work.  The 2 little girls had naps.  Reagan led the boys in a fall scavenger hunt.  They did most of the things and then headed for the dirt.  They must have tired of playing because they all ended up helping us with the leaves and sticks.  We even rode the bikes down the road a bit-though one has a flat and probably a hole since Grandpa filled it up today.
  • I did catch Reagan sneaking a peppermint.  Peppermints are fine but couldn't figure out why it was a secret.  I questioned her and she immediately clammed up.  I made her tell me that Lilly gave it to her and she didn't know where Lilly got it.  Hmm, second time this has happened.  I have a sneaking suspicion that Reagan is lifting the peppermints from Grannymom's house.  We will get to the bottom of this.
  • After we came in it was shower time and then supper.  The kids even watched a movie in the school room before heading to bed.  It was quickly quiet upstairs all but Campbell who was talking away.  That is what happens when you have a long afternoon nap.
