Dennie Kids: December 10, 2010

Highlights from today: (click here for pictures)
  • Everyone was stirring about the time Dad was leaving for work and ready for breakfast
  • Getting dressed and then heading to story time at the library – along the drive we wanted to know exactly where we saw the circus (Verizon Arena) and where we saw Santa (Clinton Library)
  • Driving home and then it was time for lunch; soon Dad was home – he had the afternoon off!
  • After lunch, Mom was busy decorating Anderson’s birthday cake – we were all mesmerized. We all sat at the table and watched her ice the cake.
  • Then we moved to the den to watch Dad work on his computer – who needs toys?
  • An afternoon rest (except for Reagan who says she doesn’t need an afternoon nap so she played on Mom’s iPod
  • Dad mentioned going to the store to pick out next week’s school snack so Reagan quickly put on her shoes and coat to head out with Dad. They had errands at Walgreens, the post office and finally Kroger where Reagan insisted on getting grape juice instead of apple juice for her snack; plus they picked out fruit gushers and cheeze-its
  • The boys and Campbell were up when Reagan and Dad made it home AND Mom was done with the cake!
  • Dad was ready to hit the road again and rounded all the kiddos up (Mom was going to a candy making party tonight).  We headed to Zaxby’s for dinner. Dad realized half way to Bryant he forgot the diaper bag and Campbell’s milk (uh oh!).  They made it through dinner – Campbell didn’t take too well to a sippee cup with whole milk.  Fortunately, Mom’s party was in the same direction so everyone met Mom at a parking lot to get the milk.  Then it was time to head to Chick-fil-a for the dessert portion of our meal and a bit of slide time. Plus, Mr. Balloon Man was there so we all got cool balloon toys.
  • It was late when we got home so we quickly put on pj’s, pulled Santa played a  bit more with our balloons, said our prayers and went to bed.
