  • For my blog skimmers I will start with this story.  Tonight Robby had already taken the kids into to the sanctuary and I went to drop off Keaton.  Then I headed to the sanctuary.  The preacher was standing at the door and he hugged the young lady in front of me, asked how her afternoon was and then gave her a kiss.  I knew this wasn't his wife since the hair color was different.  I did know though that I was next in line for this holy hug type of greeting and was getting a bit panicked.  I tried to back quickly up and enter through another door but it was now my turn to walk through the door.  I braced myself for a the preachers greeting but he just said "hi" and let me pass without a hug and kiss.  Now I was feeling a bit slighted but soon realized the girl in front of me was the preacher's daughter.
  • I know I am jumping around but two things from our visit to the zoo yesterday: First, Campbell loved seeing the animals but if they were not moving to her requirements, she would shout "go" to them.  Never really worked.  And second, Robby convinced the kids that he knew all of the penguins names (Bob, Mary, Chester...).  They were so impressed that he could tell them apart-love messing with their minds!
  • Sunday morning here and new Sunday school classes so we were up and ready very early.  We were actually at church before 9 and as soon as we walked into our class someone dropped their kids off-just 40 minutes early.  Moral of the story-last time we will be that early!
  • The kids all loved their new teachers.  Campbell didn't fuss this morning and her teachers commented "you can tell she has brothers" and "she is more outgoing than Reagan"-I am not sure yet if those are good things.  Anderson, Reagan and Graham also enjoyed cookies from Mr. Mike this morning.
  • Both boys fell asleep in church this morning.  I guess Sunday school wore them out-we are now going to the second service so it will take some time to get used to our new schedule.  We were given a compliment about the kids behavior in church this morning which was very nice.
  • We had lunch at Nonna and Pops' house and Keaton loved the lasagna but was a complete mess when she finished.  From head to toe was covered in lasagna-it was that good.  Then we headed home for naps for the little girls and possibly the big people while the others played and watched a movie.
  • Soon enough it was time to get ready for church.  We scarfed down our sandwiches and left the house.  We let Campbell go to big church again tonight and let me just quote me from what I said on the blog last week "I don't really know why we decided that-maybe because we have completely lost our minds.  The child was fine but she won't be going back to big church any time soon!" Somebody stop me next week!!
  • After church they had a reception and the kids just love receptions-brownies, punch, cupcakes-a good time for the Dennie kids.  And then we came home and started our new Sunday night tradition-the Dennie Ice Cream Truck.  The kids were able to pick out whatever ice cream novelty that they wanted.  Much to Robby's dismay-they all picked the same thing even though we had tons of choices for them.
