Our first trip to Kitty Hawk was before kids (sorry, I can't seem to find it on the blog and am too lazy to go and look) That is the trip that I bought our ornament on and Kitty Hawk was just one of those places that we really enjoyed. So in 2011, we brought our crew there and they were just as enamored with it as we were. Despite the crazy traffic that we fought to get there, the kids loved running on the field that the Wright Brothers flew on and were even rewarded with a walk on the beach before heading back to our hotel.
