  • This morning the thunder was rolling as we woke up and it couldn't have been any more wonderful. If only it was Saturday morning, and we could have slept in all morning long. Most of the kids were already dressed for church-we had different seasons represented. Sandals, flip flops, boots, short sleeves, long sleeves, shorts, pants. No matter the weather, at least one Dennie kids would be ready.
  • Whitman wasn't happy at all about us going to Big Church today. He asks me every time we go anywhere, "do we have to sing?" which means that he is asking if we have to go to Big Church. He was even less pleased about having to sit with Robby today. I took a break from the little squirmy wormy. Robby asked if he was the youngest one we had ever had in big church. Graham was younger by 4 months but he was more mature by at least a year or two.
  • After church, we ran to get gas and then headed to Grannymom's house for lunch. She had baked potatoes which my kiddos all love. I really probably should just put baked potatoes on my menu rotation.
  • The kids played the game of Life and played outside while Grannymom and I did some Christmas shopping and planning. We stayed a bit later than usual, but we were still able to have a pretty decent afternoon nap. I woke up when the kids were making way too much noise to be doing anything good-they had created some type of trampoline on my furniture cushions. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have nice things but then I just look around at all of my little Dennie people and know!
  • We all started picking up the house-the boys worked outside on the garage and car while the girls worked inside with me. Soon the house was clean and I painted the little girls' fingernails with glow in the dark nail polish and read a few books to Whitman.
  • Robby found the kids supper choices and we worked on that. Then it was time for to watch a show before bed. The kids enjoy watching the show Toy Box. Afterwards, it was bedtime, but I do believe that everyone is still pretty wound up. Hopefully, they will calm down without me having to go up there.
