Cousins in the house!
Highlights from today: (Click here for pictures)
  • Keaton was halfway asleep last night when I gave her a bottle-it was almost 12:30 when she started and since she would drink some and then stop and then drink again, I let her drink until 1.  I figured she would wake up still around 4 but at 6:30 when the kids upstairs woke up, imagine my surprise (and slight concern) that I hadn't heard her all night.  But soon, I found out that she had woken at 5 and Robby fed her in the living room
  • We put on our clothes and the kids huddled around the tv to watch a movie.  Then we headed to church this morning.  Anderson again did very well in big church but Robby and I are going to have to start drinking coffee or chewing gum during church.  Gracious me, one of us is going to fall out of the pew one Sunday morning.  Keaton went to class during big church and then stayed with us in Campbell's room for nursery duty.  The kids didn't really pay her much attention until the last few minutes of class and then they were all about "baby"
  • On the way home, we saw a homeless man.  Well, everyone but Reagan saw him and this was the conversation that followed:  Reagan: Was he old? Anderson: No. Reagan: Did he look sad? Anderson: No. Reagan: Was he dirty? Anderson: No. Reagan: Did he have bumps on his skin? Anderson: No. (must have had a Sunday school lesson on the 10 lepers lately).  Since all of this was happening in a whisper, I encouraged Robby to turn the car around and give him the 2 dollars we received in church last week.
  • We had lunch at Grannymom's house and all of the cousins were there (minus Jenna).  Josh and Zach were in town for their fall break and then they went on the "Tour of Homes" seeing Dana's new house and then our new house.  Anderson and Graham were so happy to see their big cousins and enjoyed playing with them for a few minutes.
  • Robby worked on tightening the bunk beds so they no longer squeak and wobble.  This is a good thing because the loose set was the one where Anderson was on the top bunk.  Though I am wondering if my little guy is slimming down some-I did have to tighten his pants this morning.  Anyway, by the time this project was complete (imagine 4 little helpers) it was almost supper time so they kids played while I heated up a smorgasbord of leftovers.
  • After eating, the kids helped me clean up the kitchen while Keaton snoozed.  Anderson swept, Reagan did the dustpan, Graham wiped the table and Campbell screamed.  She did that most of the afternoon/evening-she can't miss those naps but she did go to sleep quickly tonight-but after someone screaming all evening, I think I will go to sleep quickly tonight as well.  They did a pretty good job, I probably should have them do this every meal.
  • Then Reagan and Anderson ran upstairs to surprise me and put on their pajamas.  Graham didn't want to be left out so he also put his own.  I went upstairs to sit and feed Keaton in the playroom but they all left-they usually follow me around everywhere but when I want to just be near them, they all leave!  They shortly all came back and we read a few books before going back down to the kitchen for milk before bed.
  • Poor Anderson is exhausted on days like today and was the first one asleep.
