  • We knew last night that our fort sleepers would probably wake up earlier than usual and sure enough they did-even Reagan was up before us this morning. That was fine because even though we didn't have a busy day planned, we did still have a lot to do.
  • Keaton stayed in our bed nagging us to get up and get her breakfast until we finally did. Robby worked on the breakfast-pancakes and strawberries. We were out of our regular pancake batter so they were just so-so but it all killed hungry and everyone left the table happy.
  • Early, early this morning Robby worked on the floors-mopping the kitchen and vacuuming the carpet. I put some things in the attic and we stayed busy most of the morning long. A little bit before lunch, Keaton, Campbell and I left for the library and then for the grocery store.
  • The girls were a bit peeved at me since I would only buy what was on the list and nothing else. This is my self imposed "no spend month" and I am trying to stick to it-even though I have spent money the last two days!
  • We weren't gone too incredibly long and were back in time for a late lunch-I think Robby just made the kids get their own lunches. Why haven't I ever thought about that?
  • Soon after lunch, Shannon and her fam came over for a few minutes to see my cricut machine. I was able to get a few projects done (cupcake toppers for Reagan's birthday-even though now she says she wants lava cake so the toppers will be for the morning's doughnuts and a little sign for my kitchen.)
  • Then we jumped in the car and headed to the zoo for a few minutes. We were able to see a few animals and then we moved over to the Salt Bowl tailgate. It is like Halloween with all of the free stuff they are passing out. The kids absolutely love it-candy, mini footballs, bags, spinners, cookies, pencils and even more stuff.
  • The snow cone line was pretty long so we skipped it and the hot dogs wouldn't be served until 6 so we decided not to stick around for all of that. After everyone's bags were full and we had been to all of the tables, we headed on back to the car.
  • Reagan spent the night at Grannymom and Grandpa's house so we dropped her off and went in for a few minutes. The kids spread out their loot and started trading just like Halloween. Cash stopped by for a few minutes and soon we headed on home.
  • The kids had showers while Robby and I worked on supper. We had a clean out the fridge and pantry night-chicken, fried rice and tater tots. It was all pretty good and again, it killed hunger! It seemed to take us forever to get supper ready and then just as long to clean the kitchen. We wanted to eat outside tonight to avoid the rice disaster but it was misting just a tiny bit so we couldn't.
  • After supper, Robby and I cleaned the pantry and then we watched a few movies before putting the kids to bed. I have already been up there once to calm Whitman down. Graham had knocked over the marble track in the middle of the room because he kept looking at it thinking it was Whitman standing in the middle of the room. This broke Whitman's heart and he would't calm down until he was told that they could fix it in the morning! Oh the drama!
