More Decorating!
  • This morning the kids slept and slept and slept and then we had to scurry around to get everyone ready for the day.  Robby ended up taking Graham to school while I dropped everyone else off at Nonna and Pops' house.
  • Keaton had a banana before we left but didn't want any pancakes at Nonna's house.  Anderson and Campbell had breakfast in the car and Graham did too on his way.  He had hopes that his Christmas party was today but it is on Thursday so he will just have to wait.
  • The kids at Nonna's house had a big day playing my old game of Bed Bugs, coloring and watching a few movies.  When Graham and I showed back up we had lunch and then they iced and decorated brownies.  Reagan had everyone a hide and seek game set up that we played a few times and then it was time to head home.
  • We finished what was left of school before putting the little girls to bed.  Afternoon school is always pretty rough and it sure was for Graham.  But after a few minutes of fussing upstairs, he came down a perfect little child and stayed that way most of the afternoon.
  • After school, Campbell and Keaton had a nap while the rest of us sat down and read for 20 minutes.  We all silently read our own books-Graham looked at pictures, Anderson did some reading and lots of staring off into space, Reagan read 3 chapters of the first Magic Treehouse book while I was reading my Pioneer Woman book.
  • They all then had a snack and watched a short movie while I did a bit of cleaning.  Before long it was time of everyone to wake up-I offered for them to go outside but they just wanted to play legos.  That was fine since I needed to put up a few loads of laundry upstairs.
  • Soon Robby was home.  And man, all day someone is constantly asking me when he is going to get home.  We had supper and everyone then had showers.  Afterwards, we finished working on our gingerbread houses and then watched a short movie upstairs before going to bed.
  • The new thing is that the kids can earn a star if they brush their teeth, potty and go to bed with complaining or fussing.  Everyone earned a star tonight-you have to earn 20 in a month to go and have doughnuts with Dad.  I am betting that I will have to stay at home with at least a few while the 20 star earners get to go!
