  • This Monday morning went much better than last week. That made me happy, happy! It was still an incredibly busy day-school for six is just really hectic. This morning, Graham was the only one awake this morning. When I did go upstairs to wake everyone up, Anderson was stirring so I just had 4 folks to wake up.
  • I was running a bit behind on waking up the crew, but we had still eaten and began our work together by 8:10. We did our history, science, Latin, memory work and lots and lots of reading this morning. Then it was time for us to start on our work.
  • Campbell and Keaton went to lunch with Robby so they were on fire with finishing their school. Reagan wanted to finish two days of school but only did about a day and a half. She has a page of fairly difficult science to do tomorrow so that will take her awhile...hopefully, it will just take her a while and not me!
  • Anderson did his work with gusto today. It helped tremendously that his math was shorter today (mean, median and mode). Whitman even worked hard today and after finishing his work, I did let him play on his ipad instead of working on his chores.
  • Campbell and Keaton were happy to have lunch with Robby and to run an errand or two on the way home. I was happy that they did run by the library to drop off some books that were almost due.
  • This afternoon, I worked with Whitman, walked on the treadmill and even made supper. Around 4, I started to do our afternoon reading with the kids. I finished my last book, when Robby had everyone go to their desks for their first finance class.
  • Robby gave everyone skittles which they pretended to be money. They had to tithe with their skittles and put some in savings. Along with that they had a ledger to keep up with their skittle total. This was excellent practice for everyone. Graham was a bit disappointed that there wouldn't be another finance class tomorrow.
  • As soon as that was over, we had a pasta chicken dish that I had made. The kids did eat it up, and Graham even said that it was a keeper. Though most people didn't seem to eat any of the chicken. My supper could have been a lot cheaper if I had left that out.
  • Around 6, the girls, Whitman, Robby and I headed to the pool. The boys stayed home to watch a movie. We were there until closing time at 8. The pool kids had fun today and are excited about going back tomorrow because most of their buddies should be there.
  • Once at home, there were showers and a few minutes before bed. Last night we told them that they had to go to bed a bit earlier because bedtime took FOREVER. We also told the boys that if we had to come up there, there would be no ipad tomorrow. Now, the boys are pretty noisy up there, but no one has called me upstairs!
