Future Roller Derby
Queen!
Highlights from today: (Click here for pictures)
  • On the slightest possibility that there might be someone looking at the house today and since we wouldn’t be able to come home to straighten, the house was spic and span when we left this morning….of course, that meant as soon as the kids put on their clothes, they were ushered to eat breakfast while watching a movie….in the car.  They did sit there through my shower (don’t worry everyone was buckled, the garage was open a bit and we were attending them…some).  When I finally made it to the garage and loaded up with all of our stuff, Reagan said “are we finally leaving?”\
  • Graham was a bit anxious about going into school but left my side to work on the weather chart and I skedaddled out of there.  The other moms were sticking around trying to calm their little ones down and I was out of there as fast as I could-hmm, maybe I am doing it all wrong.  I did tell him bye.  Ms. Wendolyn was out on Thursday and that upset the whole drop off.
  • Reagan went right into Nonna’s house and was ready to get to work since we had big afternoon plans.  Before I walked out of the door she had already started on her school work that I took over there.  I told her if she would do 3 of the 5 pages I sent I would be very happy-she did all 5.
  • Campbell was pretty fussy at Nonna’s house today and Nonna even tried to get her to take a nap but Campbell just thought that meant more play time and had a blast playing on the mattress and with the covers.
  • Pops had to pick up the boys since we were at our new house’s inspection-Robby told me that the guy would have a very long list and not to panic….okay, I’m trying hard not to.  Somebody pass my a paper bag to breathe in.  But one of my designers stopped by while we were there too and she said that my bar stool plan would work and to buy the paint…very excited.
  • I picked up everyone from Nonna’s house and then we headed home to start on school.  Campbell had a nap while Reagan got to work on the real stuff first and we just skipped our Comm Central, calendar and morning board.  We will catch up tomorrow. But we had big plans this afternoon.
  • After dropping Campbell off at Grannymom’s house, we started to celebrate Reagan’s birthday a bit early with the skating rink.  It was homeschool skate day which means a great savings deal so the big 3 were able to skate until their legs could no longer take it (which means not too long).  Reagan was thrilled that Alyssa Kate and Noah were there too and she did pretty well-as long as she was near the wall.
  • When we went ice skating, Anderson gave up pretty easily but he kept at it and improved.  I was proud of him.  He did take a break in the middle to play a “ball game” (pool).  When we had finished and I was working on Reagan’s shoes, I told him that he could go and play pool and he said “and get wet?”-that is when I realized he didn’t know the name of what he had been playing.
  • Graham was pretty good too and thanks to all of Candace’s help, he was able to skate around a few times.  He did almost as much as Anderson.  Robby showed up and was able to watch the kids go around the rink a few times and then him and Graham went to pick Campbell up.
  • We had supper and then spotted skipper (the bunny) outside and they all went out to chase her for awhile.  Campbell went to bed, Graham fell asleep on the couch and Anderson and Reagan look like they could fall off the couch now they are so tired….maybe we should go skating everyday.
