Nothing beats birthday cake!
Highlights from today: (Click here for pictures)
  • Reagan has become our sleeper in the mornings which is usually fine but I was ready to straighten upstairs (still trying to keep the house straight for those imaginary people that are coming to buy our house) and move everyone downstairs so we could start school
  • Eventually, she did wake up and everyone dressed and went downstairs for breakfast.  We started a bit of school at the table and continued the rest in the den with a bit of dancing to her Bible verse songs as a break.  We were able to finish everything but math before leaving for Kennedy’s house.
  • The kids couldn’t have been more excited about going to play and everyone played fairly well.  The boys enjoyed Kennedy’s strawberry shortcakes, Reagan liked her dollhouse and Campbell loved her baby dolls.  We did have one incident with a baby dolls head coming off-the boys denied they were involved but were there is a headless baby doll you could probably blame a Dennie boy.  But the doll was able to be repaired so we maybe we can go back to play at Kennedy’s house again.
  • I had to run to work so Nonna was coming over and Robby was able to finish work from home so the kids had two people to entertain them this afternoon.  Campbell took a nap and the others played.
  • After I came home, the crew watched a movie while Graham finally had his nap on the couch while put school stuff together for the next week and Robby worked on his computer.  Soon it was time to got to Kennedy, Camryn and Laynie’s house for supper
  • We drove by the new house (just making sure it was still there) and then clocked how long it would take to get to their house.  It was a few miles less but quite a curvy drive.  The kids do not understand why we keep driving by that house-though Graham was quick to correct Robby when he turned down a different street just checking out the neighborhood
  • The kids played outside and then inside all evening long.  They played pretty hard and had a great time.  You would have thought Amber asked them if they wanted to eat sugar out of the bag when she asked if they wanted to play the Wii.  They were so thrilled-the boys stuck with it but the girls quickly found other things to do.
  • We put on pajamas, headed home and by the time everyone was in bed it was after 10 which is crazy late for us.  Big day tomorrow-birthday party day for Reagan.  6-wow!  Time just flies by.
